TWO BEST friends have used their teen years to transform themselves into almost identical fitness model Barbies. Julia and Sofia, both 20, met at age of six and are now regularly mistaken for twins, having shunned the traditional blonde look so many of their Swedish peers have embraced. The Stockholm stunners, who say they are “sisters by heart,” dyed their hair black, visit the gym six days a week, and have enhanced their facial appearances with the use of fillers, which plump up their lips and fill out their cheeks.

A lot of statements made in this video by the girls are worrisome to me. They each state “we were ugly.” They have a perpetual fear of being overweight which it’s brought up a few times. These girls are 20 and my heart feels sad to think that they feel the need to change everything about themselves. They will never stop until they achieve “perfection.” The problem there is they will always find issues they need to fix. I think that’s sad. I wish people didn't judge others as ugly or strange just because they have an aesthetic that you don't like. No, I don't like their look on a personal level (I'm sure they wouldn't like mine either), but I respect that it's their look, their body, their choice and it makes me happy to see them happy with their look. They altered their looks because they were not happy and didn't have confidence because of it. It's like telling your friend they look "so much better" with their old look after they got a new haircut because they were not happy with say, no bangs on their face.
