I'm a silent cousin from 🇬🇾 but I must make a comment today. Tami, I dropped out of high school pregnant at age 14 . I did many courses over the years but never thought I could've gone to college. However, while doing a certificate course in Social Work, the lecturer kept saying she's preparing us for campus, so I enquired more. Long story short, I went to the University of Guyana after age 40 to do a Diploma and went all the way to completing a Masters Degree in Social Work by 46 with a (4.0GPA). GO FOR IT TAMI...❤

I started my bachelor's in my late 20's (2008). My son was 3 at the time. I had to drop out with only a few courses to go, because of Life. Fast forward to 2023 - I will graduate with my bachelor's next month! I am 42. If you want something, go get it, even if you have to take breaks along the way. The most important person to keep your promise to is yourself.

I’m a silent cousin but I had to comment today. I’m a Prestonite from Trinidad & Tobago and seeing the Prestonites in the vid with allll the vibes made me so nostalgic! I started chanting with them 😂 I was actually at Preston at the same time as Rayon (Esso) Mc Clean. I feel so very proud!

Going to school later in life makes you a much better student. I went to college 1 yr after high school and cared nothing about grades...just wanted it to be over. Went back to school in my 40's, got excellent grades but the old grades followed my transcript. Now back in school in my 50's with straight "A's" and on the Presidents List or Dean's List every semester. I would encourage everyone to return if they desire. It's never too late to learn or better yourself.

I admire the level of maturity between Wayne and Tami. It is so beautiful to watch. I love ❤️ the realness between Wayne and Tami’s interaction, one can feel the friendship that they share and how easily they enjoy, fit and appreciate each other’s company. Amazing to see love ❤️ like this. They can cheer each other, laugh with each other etc. These are things that you don’t often see between people in marriages.

I have a soft spot for Oz, and it got softer when I heard of his early morning snack. And he looked so innocent when the story was being told. Now to Pitchy Patchy! Love the vlog as always. I am usually a silent first cousin but I have to create excitemet. WAYNE!!!! You were excellent last night in Pitchy Patchy. The entire cast was excellent but it really did play to your strengths. I’m a theatre girl and you were a natural. I now fully understand why Tami keeps going to rewatch it. I expect to to see more of you in this space. Next step is a Patrick Brown play opposite Glen. I am both very proud and inspired.

My mother use to do the UWI students Laundry and I would go with her and then i would bring back the clean laundry and then i would have to deliver the clothes to the different Halls, Irving Hall, Chancellor Hall, Mary Seacole Hall etc., spent a lot of time on UWI campus Wayne so we have that in common. I think i was about 12 years old

Tammi, I started college at 18, dropped out after three semesters this was 43 years ago (no Internet ). I got married @ 20 became widowed @24. I Joined the military. I spent 34 years in the military. I went back to school age 53, in 2015, I basically started with 12 credits, after the first year I got deployed in 2016. I worked 12 hours daily plus took three classes that summer. I wrote papers, took quizzes and did my final for each class. (I took the classes one at a time). I finished all my classes within three years. Plus I finished an associates degree (summer 2018). I waited til the Spring of 2019 to graduate with a Bachelors, Associates and two minors. I retired from the military in 2020. Granted, I don’t have children nor a husband but I had to work to provide for my present and my future. I say this to say, it’s NEVER to late to go back. It’s much easier now because everything is at your finger tips, no having to go to libraries and do research. You don’t even have to type, with a Apple computer you can dictate your papers to save you time. All you do, is review and edit. You can do it. Good luck.

Tami, it's never too late for school. I migrated to the U.S. and I went to college but you know life. I started working and had responsibilities. But 7 years ago I decided to follow my dreams and applied to Law school. I started Law School at 35, graduated, passed the BAR and I'm now practicing in Florida. I turned 41 last week and can honestly say it was the best decision I made. I had the best time in school. And believe me, I met a few people in school who were older and followed their dreams. I even met another Jamaica woman and she was a single mother of 3 and she also graduated with honors. It's never too late.

First went to Mico in 2004 at 18. Had my little tribe of three, then enrolled in UWI online programme 11yrs later in 2018 and got embroiled in the COVID saga. That was really tough but since I was already enrolled as an online student I didn't mind the online experience (which allowed me the opportunity to spend time with my children and homeschool). I just completed my degree. It is tough working, raising a family, and studying but your motivation as a mature student is different. I was also really hard ulon myself when I didn't get an A but my circle reminded me I had loads juggling and came out without failing any courses so I should be proud. I can't speak to campus life in my second stint but at 18 it was a vibe😊
