'Sarangnee' in Korean means wisdom teeth, which also symbolize 'first love' there cause wisdom teeth usually grow between the ages of 18-25, around the first time we start developing feelings for someone. Plus, the pain we feel when wisdom teeth grow is often compared to the pain of a first heartbreak. That’s why in Korea, they call wisdom teeth 'love teeth' or 'Sarangnee'

The concept of the MV is based on the similarity of the Korean words “sarangnee” - which means “wisdom tooth” - and “saranghae”, which is the expression of “I love you”. Playing with the sound of words allowed the group to deliver an interesting visual narrative: like a kind of tooth fairy, ILLIT creates a girls' club to celebrate each one's dental arch! Cute, isn't it?

I see others have mentioned it being about Wisdom Tooth/Love Tooth but the part where Wonhee is sideways and then large is a reference to how wisdom teeth grow in: sometimes sideways and sometime take up too much space in your mouth.

I interpret the MV as them growing their love represented by the tooth extracting it and giving it to the viewer as a sign of vulnerability and saying nos cherish it :)

사랑니(어원) : 사랑니는 대게 다른 어금니가 다 난 뒤. 성년기에 새로 나는 것이 일반적이다 따라서 이 시기에는 사람마다 이성에 대한 호기심이 많을 때며, 특히 새로 어금니가 날 때 마치 첫사랑을 앓듯이 몹시 아프다고하여 '사랑니'라는 명칭이 붙게 되었다.

I have seen this explanation in other comments, and it is very accurate to understand the metaphor to a very particular reference of the wisdom mulea and the age of the first heartbreak. However, the music and the metaphor of brushing is great. I did not know this pair of guys, I think they are honest but they need to know more about Korean culture to understand the metaphor itself.

FYI: Sarang-Nee is a Wisdom Tooth in Korean. - 'Sarang' means Love in Korean, - 'Nee' means Tooth in Korean, so Sarang-Nee is literally a Love-Tooth, This is why they used wisdom teeth as a metaphor for a kind of love fever.

Entiendo que es relacionarlo a la cultura de corea que si te enamoras te sale la muela del juicio , y ellas le dan el toque hada a la canción , si observan la letra es una canción para dedicar , y su momento con los instrumentos es como escapar ya que dice que ni dios las detendrá jajaja✨💗

I like the "Not even god can stop me" is good, it's referenced in the korean lyrics and it's a very typical dramatic youthful thing to say which fits very well. I think the outrage that some had over it is completely forced, they're using religion as an excuse to hate. If they were really so religious that they'd have issue with someone saying "god" in a casual context then they'd be hypocrites for watching idols anyway, thats idol worship which is a sin for puritans.

Bueno cuando minju saca la espada escalibur reepresenta que las muelas son relaciones sentimentales cuando minju tiene la espada quiere decir que salio fuerte de la relacion yunah trata de sembrar que es como que esta en una amistad aun y haciendo que de frutos Iroha trata de cuidar el diente y trata de proteger con la bazuca o el moustro Metalico pero en el espejo de ella hay bastante chicle eso quiere decir que estubo estresada con anciedad en la relacion Moka trata de cuidar esa muela cono si fuese un bebe sigue enamorada Y wonhee tira la jabalina en señal de tirar esa relacion y desaparecer como las alka selser en retrospectiva le metieron mucho lore y una buena coreo pero la rola esta muy llana fue una contra prte de magnetic que hubo un rolazo pero no tenia una historia definida
