Jinggg switched from Hayate Otsu Soft to Zero Soft during the tournament after like the knockouts started. You could see almost every player run a wooting besides something, f0rsaken and d4v4i. Also something's GPX has basically turned brown with how much he's used it lol

@m_1kser no he just changed mousepads, said it on stream before the upper bracket finals or semi finals. Just watching him aim with Zero compared to the Otsu, his aim looked as good as if not better on stream.

Steelseries Dex is one of my all time favorite pads together with zowie g-sr and spyre kamek. only reason I swapped off it forever ago was the small size and poor durability (odd given the material).

The AMP500 is a bigger/better dex I had a dex for years and I'm always amazed how few people seem to know about it

Also the fabric used in the dex/AMP500 seems to track better sensor wise than any other surface I've used including artisan

I'm kind of sad that those kind of pads didn't really catch on. I loved how those pads felt, although the stickiness of the bottom could use some work. lol I used to have the Roccat Hiro and it was basically impossible to clean at one point. It was a sad day when I had to replace that one.

jawgemmo been changing his mice and mousepads a lott but he stuck with this one for this whole tournament. used to use starlight tenz most of time and saturn pro. if i am not mistake that mousepad is also a saturn nacho custom with a skull on it when i was looking at it. If you look at the whole tournament i think you'd find so many interesting mice there was so much variety this tournament. obv a lot of DAV3s and GPX's but a lot of vaxee xe's too, and sooo many different mousepads even different types of artisan mousepads. EDG kangkang and forgot which teammate were using orange zero with signature viper minis too

prosettings release a roundup of pro mouse usage for csgo every year I think and by far the most used mouse is the GPX and I think the second most used is the deathadder v3 pro. The narrative amongst casuals may well be that heavier mice are better but that doesn't seem to be the trend amongst pros.

I used only steelseries for a very long time and never once had any issues with thier mice. The rival is a very good mouse but they haven't come out with anything decent in the last several years.

For the something and d4v41 comments, while i do understand why those peripherals would be considered “bad”, another thing to understand is how every single player has a different background with fps games and therefore have different interests. Like me for example, i dislike these cloth type pads cause i grew up with a pad that had a more plastic base, im a lot more comfortable using the skypad cause that’s what i’m used to, and i’m pretty sure its the same case for them as well. At the end of the day whatever you’re more comfortable with while playing is the most ideal.

I mean they are pros at the end of the day, theyre getting paid to play on a top level than normal players so they need to keep the consistency up there. Cant be switching mouse like the regular us and if we do bad, we tend to switch to another pad or mouse.

@@whate1se while i do agree with the pro side, for the average player or even more experience player mindset is basically funneling through the same recommended products or what the pros or the top pro’s setup, without taking into account our own aiming styles and how well we use certain peripherals. not saying it’s bad to spend on some new gear, just saying think more and make sure the gear youre getting is helping you play more like YOU, not like anyone else

@boardzy I have a somewhat silly question. You keep mentioning your hand size in your videos, and that it's 21x11 cm. That's the same size as my hands. But your hands straight up looks tiny compared to mine. A great example is your 2 month old video about the EC-CW comparison, where you're gripping both the EC2 and EC3, but legit... When you grip the EC3, it looks bigger than when I grip the EC1. Could you upload a video of how you're measuring? Because something seems really off.

the reason lower weight mice is preferred by demon1 is cuz his sens is so low and in CS there isnt alot of fast flicks you need to do. but in valorant there is agents flying and abilities flying that you need to shoot. so you have to have fast flicks and movement. but they also want stability so you lower the sens alot but the mice weight is not too heavy letting you flick alot whenever you need to without being mega tired.

For some of the things you were missing, some of the Fnatic and DRX players use the DAV3 and like you stated many other teams used. I asked Jawg on his stream what mousepad he was using and he said its unreleased and couldnt say. Otherwise gj. Also, im sure someone in comments have stated you can just goto prosettings *not always updated* or just go to their twitch and they have their gear.

These guys change their stuff all the time. Like every 3-4 months they just switch it up. You can see all kind of setups. Like fast pad with low sens and low weight mouse. Then Slow pad with slow sens and relatively heavy mouse and so on. To be honest. If you want to play with ur arm, fast pad with low weight mouse is fine. I don't think there is an ultimate recipe here though. Just practice, practice, practice, practice. Play a lot of deathmatches, etc.

The lighter mice trend might be due to the game having a faster pace compared to CS. There's a lot more micro management you need to do and a heavy mouse on a low sense would be a workout.

I wouldn't even say there is a "best" in regards to the Zowie mice. all the EC models are internally the same, the difference is grip which is entirely personal preference. I know alot of people who prefer the old EC2A's.
