BEST Garmin Panoptix and LiveScope Setup and Settings

Here are the settings that I use for my Garmin Panoptix LiveVu and LiveScope to get the best images from my units. This is how I setup my graphs to get the best pictures possible.

I really want to get my hands on one of these, even if it is the smaller screen. I generally fish out of a rigged up angler kayak and the Garmin Striker is doing well, but I would like side imaging for sure. In fact, I NEED it lol

The Echomap Plus 73 sv is perfect for a kayak. Use 1.5 inch ram mounts. I upgraded to UHD transducer along with the Livescope. Honestly I'm blown away with the data I'm getting. It's expensive but well worth the cost. By the way, check out Noqua batteries. Just an incredible company with incredible products and service. Power is an issue with these systems. Noqua makes it easy.

Can you put a livescope transducer to a panotix and convert it to a livescope?

What an amazing video! I fish the college flw series and was really want to get panoptixs, I’m a college student and money is tight, I can afford to get the ps22-tr right now but i can’t afford livescope. I was wondering what your advice would be to buy traditional panoptixs right now or save and get livescope later. Basically if you had to pick one or the other what would you get?

My recommendation having run both is to only run the LiveScope. I’ve played with both units and really believe with how good LiveScope is that you only need that one

Good video. Only thing you do that I don't is I don't leave my depth on auto. It messes with the picture too much in my opinion

Yeah, Andrew Upshaw did a video where he talks about setting manual depth, so I tried it and can understand for natural lakes where everything is relatively flat or you know what depth you want to be fishing, but for me, I’m ok with the screen changing automatically, especially with some of the glacial lakes I fish. Victor Xavier I probably won’t run one on the kayak, but if someone wanted to, I’d probably get the ice fishing bundle with the pole so you can control the direction of the transducer by hand with the PS22 traditional panoptix
