Your cat going for the resistance bands 🥹 My gift ideas to add are a cute notebook to write down what to work on, advice from your coach, track progress, etc. Also big washable markers to write on the ice! They don't seem to last long enough 😅

Rachel I just wanted to say that i really love your videos and that they helped me a lot to go back to figure skating even tho I was in a difficult moment because I didn't felt like I'm doing a good job, and you helped me to enjoy again figure skating. Your videos are SO cute and I'm in love with them and also you are a lovely person with such an amazing vibe ❤

If you get a jump rope/skipping rope make sure you skip on a soft surface, as can make your ankles feel glass like in skates if not. Especially if you are going back to skipping, or just starting

1:21 random fun fact, Miffy is actually originally from the Netherlands ✨ Here she’s called Nijntje. So you’ll probably be able to find Miffy stuff to buy there too and not just Japan 🫶

such cute ideas 🧚🏻♀️ i know not everyone can afford to buy things that are ethically sourced or made by companies that pay their workers more than 5 cents an hour, but i really just want to remind everyone to buy mindfully ! if you do want to spice up your look, just remember to think before you buy. especially when buying off temu or shein, or any of the unethical brands that are using child labour and contributing to mass fast fashion and global waste production these days. make an effort to buy things you’re going to use for a long time (which realistically, things from these companies won’t last that long because they’re made cheap). ask yourself if you really need yet another pair of soakers or guards, or if you can survive without them (within reason obviously if yours are falling apart then yeah go ahead) just be thoughtful is all i’m saying :) take care of the planet and the underpaid workers making your cheap clothes and accessories :) it’s really good that you (rachel) have crocheted and make your own soakers and cute headband, you’ve given me inspiration to learn to sew and crochet

2:06 I’m sorry,but are these secure from falling off?Especially while spinning(I do a spin on two legs only though)
@RachelLiza10 күн бұрын
i only do them for warm up because i spin too fast but you’ll probably be fine if you’re doing a two foot spin

Thanks for the great ideas! My sister wants to get back to ice skating after she stopped in high school. Do you have a skate shop that you like to get your boots and blades from? We live in the Seattle area.

Its so hard to find good skating clothes because im not very feminine and i probably haven't worn a dress/skirt in like 1000 years (i js feel uncomfortable in them) if you know of any places to get unsex clothes that are good for skating, do tell 😓

hii rachel!! this is kind of off topic but I wanted to ask you about the difference between mark I and mark II blades. I'm a beginner and want to get my own skates but everytime I've done research on it the answers have been different 😭💓
@CuteBird1310 күн бұрын
Assuming you mean Mark 1 and 2 blades from Jackson Ultima, Mark 1 has a very basic and small toe pick, better for beginners and recreational skaters. Mark 2 blades are still beginner blades, but have a slightly more aggressive toe pick pattern, more suitable for simple jumps and spins. If you plan to go in to figure skating as a sport rather than recreationally, I would recommend Jackson Ultima Mystique or Artiste (Mystique is slightly less stiff than Artiste) Hope this helps!

@CuteBird13 Thank you soso much! I've been researching for such a long time and everyone's been giving conflicting answers so this helps a ton! 🫶🏻💓
