I think everyone should know to turn the water physics down one notch and disable tree tessellation if they want to gain 50% of their framerate. I mean, if ya got a 3090Ti or 6900/6950XT, you do you, champ. I have a 6700XT and it's not worth the performance hit for me. I do max every single other setting out, though, at 2560x1440.

This video helped so much. I was playing on everything maxed pretty much. And on my 3070 I was getting like 45-60fps. But as soon as I followed your setting 1-1. I got a boost to about 95-115. In the benchmark mode my max fps was 155 inside a building. I find with everything set to maxed. It looks worse with lower fps. Having this balance makes the game look more insane with the compromised settings. The game looks insane and with over 100fps the game is so smooth on my 1440p 165hz monitor. Miles ahead of when I played it on Xbox 1 and series x (same version. Locked at 30. With medium settings) thank you!!!

omg thanks bro, i changed the Graphic API to directx 12 and the fps is way higher and stable on it compared to Vulcan, also the max temp of gpu is around 61 while it used to go up to 68 69 when it was on vulcan, thanks a lot

why, whats wrong with v-sync? it locks your fps to hz of your monitor i use it, its good thing bcs its pointless to play a game in 200fps if your monitor have only 144hz for example

G Sync is a better adaptation but really it's been general practice to disable V sync for the last 10 years with modern games. I believe it was more common when 60 Hz refresh was common and games could hardly hit 60 FPS anyways. Now with higher res, higher Hz and higher FPS capable machines V sync is just holding you back. If you have g sync use that instead, it will match your Hz to FPS dynamically. So if you're getting 100 FPS your monitor is clocking down to 100 Hz. It prevents screen tearing

I’ve noticed that if you go from vulkan to directX12 on certain PC’s, your GPU will go to 0% usage and your FPS will be in single digits. In that case, keep it on Vulk.

It’s still better than any console version to date. & it’s reality affordable, anything else and you might as well buy a 3090 TI but not everybody has 1600$ spare dollars to get a steady 60 fps on a game that should have been better optimized by developers. i’d recommend watching the video “CyberPunked” It’s goes in depth about how lazy the programming optimization is ECT… Also this game struggles on max settings with pretty much any graphics card. I’m just saying it’s decent and still better than a console experience.

@Justinio@@AerOR2 Full screen performs better as it lets you access your monitors true refresh rate and not locking it to 60 max when in windowed borderless. You can see in your settings the 240 refresh rate is grayed out and you cant change it. Once you change to full screen you can. This also always gives me a performance boost on my 3070 TI.

Fyi DLSS Auto is the same as Quality. You can tell by the VRAM usage. 4199 video memory on auto is the same when using quality w/c means its one and the same, so better set it to quality.

Turn off any unnecessary background tasks. & increase ur paging file size. If ur PF is too small on red dead it’ll crash the game after it’s been running for longer than like 20-30 mins.

Mine was very pixelated and weird looking on a 4090 but once I changed it to Fullscreen, I'm ade some changes in the Nvidia control panel where now I can run game resolution settings at 5760x3240 and for whatever reason I've done this to most of my games and I'm not seeing any shimmering or pixelation and I'm also running it at 120hz and sometimes 144hz and it works perfectly fine

the 3060ti is a good card for the money and I'm assuming you know that I have a 3070 and a 3060ti should perform similarly to a 3070 cuz it has the same amount vram but with a thousand less cuda cores BUT do not quote me on that im not for sure I only own a 3070, as far as wait for next gen 4000 series graphics cards thats fine to just keep in mind that it will be quite a while be they come out, if I was you I would get a 3060ti or save up a little more and get a 3070, its done nothing but surprise me. edit: a 3060ti will obviously get less frames but I don't think the difference will be big

It depends what dlss setting you use, I think at the quality setting it renders the game at 1080 if your native is 1440, not sure what the other settings render the game at.
