For anyone having problems with slow rates - I noticed that on the northwest corner of the farm, guardians were spawning in a glitchy way (just outside of the spawn block). If you add one more layer of blocks headed outside of the farm (essentially doubling up your blocks placed at timestamp 3:30 so that the tops of the columns are thicker - instead of placing "two like that" make those four) then the guardians will properly spawn in the farm. I had so many guardians swimming in the free water and was confused thinking I didn't do my despawn pillars correctly, but I did - they were spawning "in the farm" but just a block off.

I completely solved the bottleneck issue. Build five blocks higher. So they are able to fall into the Trident killer. Put two Pistons on the back side above the water column and hook them up to the Trident killer. Only water log the first 3 pairs of slabs And then the very last pair at the end over the Trident killer. The downward flowing water forces them into the Trident killer and it kills them faster than they can spawn in.

Ace, I've been meaning to build a guardian farm for a while, yours is the first build I've seen that looks manageable. It's worth noting that you can have a problem where you end up picking your tridents up if you go to close to a trident killer that isn't blocked off. You find this out the hard way when you're collecting xp sometimes

If you tridents stop working, turn the lever on and off quickly until u hear the tridents striking really fast. Dont pick them up, just do this. It worked for me and they're dying pretty much instantly now. (I have 4 tridents with impalling IV)

Also, make sure to put one bucket of water on the slab above the piston near to u, it'll make the guardians go down quicker

Also another fix is adding more tridents. I had 2 in the chamber and it didn't work but when I added 2 more it started working perfectly

If your farm isn't spawning in guardians or is spawning then in very slowly, it is because you need to kill all the guardians swimming in the ocean underneath

this is the exact isuee I am facing right now, I built a different farm, and I was wondering why it's so unbelievably slow, like, I'll get a handful of guardians, and then it stops working unless I fly away, but the guy who made the video said nothing about the other guardians. edit: update I attempted to go kill the ones on the ocean floor, but none spanwed, I think I may just take the loss on this one and build a different one

Note to unaware players like myself, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT afk at any farms for long periods of time with trident killers or whatever on hard mode... I learned the hard way, hours worth of enchanted gear despawned while afk from dying of hunger on hard mode... Normal or easy will do just fine & you don't die from hunger, you're welcome, hopefully saving fate of all so you don't have to experience my fate lol

@@zack9336 I set my Xbox to turn off after 4 hours of inactivity, how long does it take approximately to run out of hunger bars & start losing health to the point of death in hard mode, do you know? I surely don't :). Letting my Xbox run the 4 hours whilst sleeping so I never have a chance to see if I'm dying or not, so to save myself the anxiety of wondering, I just looked up if u die or not on normal or easy from starvation, you don't, you lose all health bars down to 0 & it looks crazy, zero hunger & zero health, u should be dead but as long as u don't let the no sleepy time birds get to you, you won't die in normal or easy whilst afking farms, especially hostile mob farms!

Hey blaze, everything works perfectly except the tridents aren’t killing them. Idk what’s happening but i think the tridents are at the very bottom of the floor so they can’t kill the guardians. I throw them on the pistons but they end up on the floor. Any solutions

that is a bug going around bedrock, you just need to turn off the trident killer before leaving the area. Glad you enjoyed it though :)

Guardians were not taking damage. And i died 2 times😢 . Solution :- build up 30 or 32 (not higher then they will die. Recommended 30 blocks) and fall them in killing chamber so they became 1heart . And die and still gives you XP. And replace the four blocks in the killing chamber with mud.

This farm is absolutely fantastic. I play on ps4 version, and after a while did encounter the issue of guardians not getting hit by the tridents, want to share my fix here. Be sure you're only using sim distance 4, anything bigger will need appropriate alterations. Build the farm as per instructions. Only changes are to the trident killer itself. Place signs above the back 2 blocks of the actual kill chamber to stop the water flowing in, then waterlog the very front 2 slabs in the roof above. This pushes guardians downward, and also means Impaling V still can has full effect. Note that by "back" I mean the direction farthest away from the afk point, where the bubblevator brings the guardians up Only other tip would be to expand storage, the rates on this thing are phenomenal! And remember to turn the flippin' thing off if you're leaving the area, always. Always. So long, and thanks for all the fish

Blaze, your farms work for me, however this farm didnt work as great as I thought. My pillars are in the right spot and i dag down until I made sure that 3 of the surrounding blocks werent the blue blocks. Yet, some gaurdians spawn outside of the farm next to the place where the other gaurdians farm. Do you know how i can fix this?? I can maybe only get 3 or 4 gaurdians and the rest are below the farm. (like 4 of them) please help me fix this, the rates are not as good and i get exp slow Do u think I have to dig the pillars more down?

If the pillars hit the bottom, you should be okay. Did you MAKE SURE that you started in the northwest corner of the monument? Also check the positioning of the pillars

Instead of going up 21 blocks of glass for the elevator, I went up 25 just for extra measure, and mine works great. Judging from the comments, I don't think the initial 21 blocks is high enough. But it's bugrock, so you always have to tweak stuff in your own world. Hope this helps!

The spawnproofing works because no guardians spawn outside the farm but the guardians inside the farm spawn slowly or not at all. For everybody having trouble with trident killer, I eventually just linked a nether portal and had the guardians fall down about 30 blocks, which still wasn’t enough to kill them so I put campfires and hoppers down to collect all of the material you will not be able to collect XP this way, but as long as you’re going for materials and you have a different XP farm this is a perfect solution to the trident killer not working. Just deleted the killer and have water flow all the way to the portal right to when the water reaches its last block and the guardians guardians will teleport to the nether. This is a great video and great farm in theory but unfortunately there are a surplus of people having issues, hopefully my solution helps. This is no shade to the creator, I just had a problem and I came up with a solution so I thought I’d share it.

I made the farm checked every spawn proofing pillar but the guardians are spawning outside of the farm and this is only happening on the most north-west pillar and the least north-west pillar which is attached to the farm. Is there a way to fix this?

I have the same issue where it’s the least north west side but also only the Lower east side and sometimes don’t even spawn or spawn too slowly or just stop spawning after a few, I have no clue how to fix it. Oh and another issue is sometimes they don’t spawn at 30 blocks and sometimes spawn 40 blocks higher or don’t at all.

So the corner you start at seems to matter. I went through the entire build and the kill chamber itself is a block short. I can only fit one block between magma blocks. I'm super upset because Is pent the entire day working on this and fighting guardians in survival and now I think I have to break it down and rebuild

Your trident probably disappeared just throw another at the piston and it will work sometimes they just disappear the trident

Drowns keep spawning in the corners and blocking the guardians from going past does anyone know how to stop them from spawning

Hey blaze, when I was making the pillar I dug 5 blocks deep is that good? Some guardian still spawn outside

If they are and your pillars are in the right spots, try making the pillars 2x2 or 3x3

I made this farm and all of it works fine apart from 2 minor problems. Firstly, I had a problem with either guardians still spawning outside of the farm or glitching through the spawning chambers out into the open water, I changed the 4 pillars used for the farm to 3x3s and thickened up the spawning platform, problem solved. Secondly, when right next to the trident killer, guardians are only spawning in the northern 2 spawning chambers and none from the other 2. Not sure if this affects rates but it seems like my farm is slower than shown in the video, in hard mode. Any solutions?

Try AFKing at SLIGHTLY different positions. If you can get 3 to work, it is as efficient as 4, and 2 is slightly less

Yeah, but normally just add a bunch of Trident there, you can use dupe or just build blaze trident farm tutorial, that's easier than just enchanting stuff

I made the farm but I've been having trouble getting guardians to consistently spawn. Everything is completely spawn-proofed, I turned my render distance all the way down to 5, and I even tried adjusting the height of the tube/kill chamber, but to no avail. every time 7 or so guardians will spawn in, but then no more will respawn after that. I made a copy in creative and it seems that whenever I go out of render distance and then move back into render distance they decide to respawn, which makes it impossible to AFK. Does anyone have a solution? I play on Xbox Series X for reference

just set up a minecart system that takes you in and out of range when all the guardians have spawned and died

Did you build it in the north west corner? And did you check if they are spawning underneat the water

@massbassinfamilies1902 am not sure of that one try killing off all them underwater and then going back up. Unless youve not placced the cobble tower in right block and not closed of the spawn underneath so they spawn under?

Yes I did I just decided to make a different version of it. Instead of a 2x2 hole I made it a 1x2 hole it still works good 👍🏼

i just made this and i have an issue with the guardians not spawning at the afk spot my y cord for the afk spot is 82 is there a change i need to make for them to be able to spawn or does it just take a while at first? i run away and unload the chunks to the farm and the guardians spawn and they only spawn in the farm but once im in the afk spot they dont spawn at all for me

@@BlazedMCs I've got the same issue, water is on the first 8 slabs trident isn't damaging the guardians, the machine moves the tridents the way its supposed to but they aren't damaging the guardians at all. Btw super appreciate you replying to most comments, the help is so amazing.

Any suggestions to stop other mobs spawning? guardians are getting blocked by creepers or drowned and other mobs seems to be hurting my drops, awesome farm though

Creepers? They shouldnt be able to spawn, and if the spawn area is how I did it than drowned shouldn't either. Try downloading my world to see what is different
