Can you get deals for buying .357 sig ammo in bulk?
@SOTA-36812 күн бұрын
You can use a 45cal, with a 135 grain lehigh extreme penetrator round. it moves at 1400 to 1500 fps (underwood brand). It will go through winshield, not lose any material and retain it's full shape. It creates a wound channel 2 x hollow point.

Have you done or seen that done? I ask because the mass and diameter is suspect. I install armored glass and hybrid panels to stop things like that in banks and government buildings

I have studied this stuff for years. Seems like the Goldilocks cartridge that does a little bit of everything, power tweaked down just enough to run reliably for most people but tends to stop threats a little better than some cartridges - is the .40 S&W. I am typing this at 3 minutes into your video, so I am not sure what your answer will be, but that's what my studies have shown.

We're seniors, and have gotten lighter and lighter over the years...today our carry is .25acp, but a recently acquired .32acp is subject to replace that...caliber means nothing if you left it at home, or in the car...awareness, avoiding bad areas, having a sedate lifestyle, we'll be fine...

Nice video Tom. At 73 yrs old I'm not capable of handling some of the larger calibers anymore. So I carry a Glock45 because of the ability to conceal it rather easily, but mainly because of the 17 round capacity.

Nice overall comparison Tom. I prefer a little more energy than 380 or 9mm also. 40 SW for my home defense or battle belt gun, and 357Mag revolvers for EDC. If I think vehicles or body armor may be an issue I'll pull out my AR SBR in 7.62x39. It penetrates well and is effective as a flashbang device also.

Shot most handgun calibers and far as carry I've settled with the Glock 26 Gen 5 MOS to carry with flush 10 rd mag and 15 or 17 rd backup mag. Only because I shoot it better than all others even fullsize . Hitting what I'm aiming at and concealment is my top concerns.

I use 25acp, 380acp, 9mm, 38 special, 357 magnum, 45acp. They are all good for self-defense. I use FMJ on 25 and 380 in low threat levels. I use FMJ or JHP for 9mm and 45 in medium threat levels. I use semi-jacketed for 38 special in medium threat levels. I use hard-cast lead for 357 magnum in high treat levels.

In a revolver it should be 327 Federal magnum. And it also should be 380 357 sig and 10 mm America's rounds. But I think it's actually going to settle at 380 9 mm & 10 mm.

Boss, I use all of these calibers. Your numbers, are 'unusual.' 1100fps with 240 ft/lb from a 380? 500+ ft/lb from a 9mm? Holy Jayzus! That's full power 357Sig energy launching a .355" projectile which is the same size as 380 & 9mm. I use a lot of Underwood. Less Double Tap (because the velocities are usually lower than advertised and vary pretty wildly) and less Buffalo Bore because I only use their hardcast loads. Liked. Already subscribed. I carry a P365 or P229 357Sig for warm weather, clothing dictated. A LCPII when I have to wear something near formal/dress. A Springfield Tactical with a 460 Rowland conversion when heavy clothing is appropriate to conceal it.
@WeaponsEducation7 күн бұрын
I said the numbers were ballpark. I also said ammo makes a "massive" difference, Here is your 500 ft/lb from a 9mm btw (115 gr) Underwood JHP +P+ 1,400 ft/s 501 ft⋅lbf The .380 I mentioned is accurate also. Listen to my words! I'll do videos on it, Thanks
@Swampytheroot7 күн бұрын
@WeaponsEducation the numbers are absurdly high with the best barrels at maximum length with the ammo you state.
