When I was a kid in the 80's a neighbor across the street from me was an avid fisherman. He owned a bar on Gould and Wisconsin Ave and he'd lock that door if there was a run on something on the lake. For browns he'd run to the pier just up the Root from the Main St bridge -- right where Eric is fishing. My neighbor let me tag along once and he pulled three browns out of there in 15 minutes. Just a red and white spoon and he was pulling them out one after another. One was ten, a six or so and a five pounder. Crazy. Good to see the fishery is still thriving.

Another great video. How bad does heavy wind jack up the harbors?
@wibigfishcom2 жыл бұрын
The wind definitely has a major affect on some harbors changing the water clarity but usually you can always find a harbor or marina here in the fall with clean or decent water. The tribs should also heat up again with the rain and warm forecasted. I will be open water fishing for a while.

Hey Mr. Haataja! Hope you are doing well!! I really want to catch my first lake trout I have been trying but couldn’t catch one. When can I catch one next can I still catch one in spring? During spring on boat is it better lake side for them or better in the harbor? Also can you do a video on catching one during this winter or in spring? Thank you!!

Go now if you can pretty good off of Indiana and Chicago or our gaps but if you fish in 80-120 they are stacked out there now
