DT-770M user for everything, FOH, monitors and studio. wish i had five pairs of them.

I love my DT-770s - I got the 80 Ohm version to try to balance loudness and detail, but these do not work well for live sound. At high levels the low end distorts badly. I might see if using a dedicated headphone amp makes a difference, but would make them much less mobile.

I use them for live work and also for tracking. I have the Beyerdynamic DT770 32 Ohm version also which were used for 3 years for live and they rocked, they are used only for tracking now.

I have been using Sennheiser HD280 pro for couple of years . The ear pads are totally worn of . Instead of buying the earpads , I have been really considering the DT770 . Is it a good decision or should I stick to HD280 . How is SonyMDR7506 ?
