I’ve only owned the Wagner. Never have used the Ranger. But the WOW peaks my interest because of the H & L settings. Also the protection around the nozzle! Yes.... I too have gotten an owie with my Wagner! Hmmmmm! Thanks Laurel! 💕🙋‍♀️

Thanks for the comparison. I’ve wanted a Wagner. Now I’ll look into the Wow one Just a suggestion don’t leave them plugged in as all of them are fire hazards.

I have the Ranger and the Wagner. The Ranger hangs on my desk as my general drying tool that is always within reach. My Wagner lives on my embossing cart that I can roll around my studio. I fashioned a heat proof gun holder out of a tall metal flower pot with a silicone heat trivet at the bottom of the flower pot. My Wagner just goes in the flower pot in between uses when playing and for storage. It is safe and I am safe and that makes us both happy. :-)

I watched the video while travel with my husband, he overheard the review of the wow. I was looking to see who offered it, and he blurted out, “Have you ordered that?” I said no. He said, “if it’s that good order you one.” This after him telling me, what do you do watch these videos and then buy the tools.

Good info to know. Thank you! I have both the Wagner and the Ranger tool currently. Love them both but use the Wagner 99% of the time cause I’m impatient. Lol . May buy the Wow tool when 1/both of mine die but don’t see a need for it now.

I had a Milwaukee, now Wagner that lasted about 15 years. When it broke I bought the new Wagner, and I also have the heat tool. They both work well, I was wondering how well the Wow one worked. Saving space having just one tool is a plus. Thanks!

LOVE your review, all the info I really needed right now, as my Heat It stopped working when I wanted to dry my 3 year old sons shoes :-( I already had a cheap heat gun like the Wow, with 1 speed but without the cap around the end and feel like that is dangerous with a 3 year old in the house ! But I loved the fact that the Heat It made a soft noice. But fortunately that's not important anymore (my 3 year old slept near my craftroom so could not affort the noice), so after your brilliant review it's an easy choice, THANKS SO MUCH !!! The WOW it will be :-).

The Wow is a good one because it has dual speeds for heat embossing and drying watercolors and paints. However, if you don't need the lower setting, I would get this one: amzn.to/3mKcYUi

That would indeed be good info -- as to BOTH settings! -- AND the DIMENSIONS, as well (!), as we all seem to have limited crafting space. "Particulars" on nearly a n y product, these days, seems to be an after-thought quite often; I've T O T A L L Y given up on perusing IKEA's catalog or on-line spaces, as those people seem to forget that they are N O T selling a P I C T U R E of an item, but an actual 3 dimensional object!!! Oh well ...

Hi , thank you so much for this video. I wonder wich of these 3 you would recomand fot working whit thick embossing powder??? each time i try to melt it it blows away it just wont stick in the versamark ink.... The fine embossing powder stick and melts great....
@LaurelBeard
@LaurelBeard 5 жыл бұрын
The Wow or Wagner would work great. I use the Wow gone exclusively! For thick embossing powders, HEAT FROM THE BACKSIDE! Once its starts to melt, you can move on to the front... I hope that helps!

Thank you so much for your review Laurel! I am a brand new subscriber. :-) I am looking at the Amazon Link that you provided for this tool which says it is; 120 volts, 300 watts, 60 hertz and then I am seeing a comment on the same item from another seller and one person is complaining about it being this lower voltage she says; "Heat gun voltage is received is 110-115 volt. It was never mentioned in product description. Now I can not use the product . Don’t buy this if you need 220v version." Which actually the voltage is right there at least now in the Product description for this one as being "110 Volt Heat Gun-ETL approved meets UL approval" as stated on the product page. So, my question is what is she referring to and is this 110 just fine or is there a 220 version? I don't see one on Amazon. Also, can you tell me if there is a WARRANTY on this WOW Heat Tool? :-) Thank you so much for your Assistance. I am new at this Art and am rather clueless about Heat Guns and all. :-) Blessings upon you & yours Laurel! :-)

I am not sure. They have two heat guns. USA plug and UK plug. I have had no issues with the heat put out by this gun.
@victoriousvalentine9779
@victoriousvalentine9779 3 жыл бұрын
CHER there is a 230 volt version. It is sold in the UK. The 120volt is the US version. If you buy the wrong voltage, often you can just use a universal plug. If that doesn’t work you need a converter/transformer. I don’t know how much they are elsewhere but in Australia they are around AU$35

The WOW one has a shrill high-pitched sound that would drive me crazy. I wish you had demonstrated whether it would warp paper during card making and embossing, because I believe it would. I wish you would show all of them demonstrated but you did not.

What are the temperatures for the low and high settings on the WOW please? The Wagner is 650°F which some find is too hot (though, I’m ok with 650°F). I have the Recollections Heat Gun rated at 446°- 464°F, but I know I’ll have to replace it sooner or later. TIA

It is around 300C(+-30C tolerance) for high setting and 200C(+-30C tolerance) for low. (Straight from the folks at Wow)

@@LaurelBeard FABULOUS!! I was wondering if that info would come out in these comments!! Btw ... for others back here in The States, that translates to 300c +/- 30 = 572 F +/- 86 F AND 200c +/- 30c = 392 F =/- 86 F Thx, Laurel ! Be well, All!

I use the harbor freight one. It is kinda big but works great. The problem I have with the style shown is that every one I have owned (it's been a few), the plastic part around the metal tube has melted, to the point where it is touching the metal. Anyone else had this problem?
