No. The British Army does not use the "sir, yes sir" crap - that's the US Army. Secondly, SAS troopers are always thoroughly briefed on the current mission. There would be no need for the lieutenant to ask if they knew what they were about to do.

I'm more than a little surprised it was that easy. They KNEW the response team was in the sewer, but only had guards paying attention looking out thru the gates and the others weren't expecting trouble until they heard them? BTW, what happened to the terrorists at the gate? Nice story, but too much left convenient to the story's ending.
