Not quite accurate, two of the units mentioned are pre-amps and not receivers. The Yamaha CX-A5200 and Marantz AV8805 don't have amplification.

The Yamaha CX- A5200 is a preamp not a receiver with any onboard amplifiers, not sure which product this is actually referring to? Sounds like a computer not a human.

These are not high-end. Well people might say they high-end but the Denon certainly don't produce a high-end sound. When I auditioned the Denon 6500 (same as 6700 only 4k) I usually found myself reaching for the remote control almost every time the movie sound Dynamics changed! And as far as the 2-channel stereo audio is concerned, the digital sounding Denon were unable to make my high-end sonus Faber speakers sound their best. So glad I returned it and purchased a proper analogue sounding beautifully balanced AVR. 🥳 If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right! Buy once cry once.

@@madcrabber1113 rather than features or channels if one is looking for a quality sound one would be wise to choose an AVR for its components. The more unnecessaries they cram into a chassis the more the sound quality is likely to diminish. Hence the reason why nearly all high-end AVRs tend to only go with 7 channels. Arcam are known for putting sound quality first! Some of the quality components one will find within the arcam avr20 are a toroid amplifier, a huge toroidal transformer plus audiophile grade DAC and not forgetting it has Dirac calibration already implemented. If interested one can click on the red dragon twice and hit the 'Adele 2-channel sound test' video. Ok the arcam avr20 may be driving some high-end sonus Faber speakers but unlike the Denon one will be able to hear the crash of the cymbals and the snap of the snare drums. 🥳

I have the lower end Marantz SR6015, and it's a beautiful sound, watching movies, or two channel in just Direct Pure Mode, or Pure Direct, whatever they call it. And I'm not even using high end speakers.

Sorry, why 8K? There is nothing in 8K neither on TV nor as BlueRey. It doesn't matter whether it's a TV or AV device, the main thing is that you need a lot of coal for a technology that doesn't yet exist on the market and you have to wade for a long time until there will be an 8K BlueRey's! And only Yamaha and Marantz are available. What a miracle that they have survived and that pioneer and Onkyo no longer exist

Denon AVR X6700H in 9.2.4 is fantastic. Klispch system 4 RF 82-MK2, 1 RC-62MK2, 2RP-500SA, 2RP-502S, 2 RP-260F, 2 RB61-MK2, 2 SPL-100, pre amp front Rotel RB-1582MK2 ! Projection 4 K uhd Epson, Lector Panasonic DP-UB9000 and Technics SL1500 -CEG-K !

I got the Yamaha CX-A5200 because I didn't like the new looks of the Yamaha RX-A*A range. I think a woman designed the cosmetics of the RX-A*A. I only buy equipment made by men.
