I'm in love with the mechanisms and fine internal finishes of the Vacherons but I need a watch I can wear every day and everywhere til I die. These fine machines don't belong in the mountains, engineering shop floor or the forges. They belong safely on the wrists of bankers and celebrities.😋

To me this is a iconic piece. And a grail of mine as well. In my opinion some of the finest watchmaking in the world. I grew up around the old school watchmaking .And this watch fits the bill from that influence since I was a young boy looking at Patek's. That dial hands open caseback. Fluently go to gather so beautifully. But the movement I could look through a loupe for hours and never get board. Everything about this watch screams highest quilty materials & finest luxury watch making in the world. Hopefully one day my dream will come reality. To be honored to own a piece like this in my collection.

One of my favourite brands. Funny enough i have been seriously looking at the VC historiques 3110V. Love the lugs and the art deco style. When I started watching collecting many years ago, one of grail watches was the VC Royal Eagle. Great brand. Nice review

Love love love this piece, especially the lugs. It's really a handsome piece and the movement definitely has its own appeal. The 1921 American and Overseas Dual Time (Blue Dial) are my favourites from VC. If money weren't an obstacle, then one of their Les Cabinoteurs piece would be nice!

This is a watch for us who are suckers for classical manual wind chronographs! They don't seem to drop a lot in price on the secondary market. For that reason I also do have in mind the Malte Chronograph ref. 47120, which I guess is the predecessor in some way.

Been wearing this VC CDV pretty much every day since I got it 2 months ago. Love it. this watch is a strap monster. the serapiana strap on it’s own is very nice but I don’t think that it goes that well with this watch imo

A very special watch, and exquisite movement. However, the movement has nothing on the Lange, that to me remains the clear winner between the two. A date window might disturb the beautiful dial, but maybe a date pointer would have been nice.

Marko hi, that VC ultra thin that you mentioned, is 4.3 mm. The Octofinnissimo in manual wind is 5.3 or 5.6 if I am not mistaken. How come the Bvlgari was a record setter (which record in turn set off the competition between Bvlgari and Piaget and ended up giving us the Ultimate Concept)? Thnx!

If i was to get a manual would Chrono, the Vacheron would be it. I prefer it over the 5172 and the 1815. However, i cant be bothered to wind it everyday. So i went with the Czapek Faubourg de Chacovie instead. 5Hz automatic chrono and only 13.5mm thick. I also think its the best designed traditional Chrono out there as we speak. Marko, you still have time to reconsider.

Beautiful piece and brand but the bad habit of making such huge price gap for precious metal is a bit...a downer. 90% or more of the watch cost is not the case material. At that price point stainless steel should be a practical user choice not a default choice because gold or platinum will cost you a huge premium.

@@SwissWatchGang It is a nice and a sweet watch. The 7751 Valjoux is a phantastic workhorse in the tolerance of COSC. And on the second market you get a good one for 1500€ the only thing what it has to be done is change the date.every two month. I don’t need a Vacheron to feel proud.
