JB has been my favorite since he was drafted. He is not only gifted, but he's a very hard worker. Dangerous combination. That #7 is going in the rafters alongside banner 18 and hopefully 19 and more.

Don't care about the stats jaylen browns plays offensively and defensively were timely and crushing. Nail a 3 steal it off Luka 2 seconds later and dunk. Ever since not making all nba or all defense man was on a mission. Was definitely a team win and took everyone to win the championship but brown sets the tone and leads. Plus it's extra gratifying when he forces Kyrie to travel or steals it from Luka for a dunk. He deserves everything he's gotten and I'm happy for him, this is what sports is about. Worked and got better every year.

His improvement this season has been astounding. In the past, he always had the athleticism to get to the rim, but was terrible at finishing, and turned the ball over too often. But from the All Star break until the last game, he got so much better at it. His shooting overall has been much better, and he hit a couple huge clutch shots in the playoffs. He should have been on the All Defense team because of how well he played on D, picking guys up full court, frequently defending their best player. Hopefully after this run he'll start getting the respect he deserves, and those end of season awards will follow.
@jordancave30895 ай бұрын
I’m not sure where you got that “he was terrible at finishing” part from? He doesn’t get alot of fouls called so he ends up taking alot of awkward angled lay ups when he drives…but he’s been great at the rim for a while now. Literally the only gripe I had with JB was how he’d score 16 in one quarter shooting like 6/8 and then only take 5 shots in the other three quarters combined. I would always be baffled by it because it wouldn’t even be like he’s shooting poorly…he’d just not be shooting at all. But yeah, in these playoffs he did exactly the opposite of the old more timid/passive JB use to do. He did become a better ball handler and passer too though! And yeah, obviously I also wanted Jaylen to get those turnovers down(which he did) but the turnovers were a bigger concept for Tatum imo. And Tatum was spectacular this whole postseason at taking care of the ball anddddd he made a MASSIVE improvement with his playmaking. What’s scary is these two are JUST NOW hitting their primes and can still get better! And the confidence of getting that championship is almost guaranteed to help them become much better. I know JB is slightly older than Tatum but I feel like JB could potential have more room for improvement even at an older age because Tatum is more skilled than Jaylen(although Jaylen makes up for that with his athleticism) and obviously the skill related areas like handling, passing, FTs, jump shooting….those are things that literally everyone can improve on all the time. So yeah, Tatum is more skilled but that just means that Jaylen(potentially) has more room to grow than Tatum. And since Tatum is still arguably not even at the peak of his powers, he can also make another leap imo. People were gassing Kyrie and Luka as a duo(and I know they’re great…don’t get me wrong) but I genuinely believe we have the best duo in the league with these two. Even if there are duos that have individual players that are better, these two are top tier but also they fit perfectly…and they’re like brothers! You could take the two best players in the league and put them on the same team, they’re gonna be amazing cause they’re that good as individual players…but that doesn’t mean they’re a perfect fit….whereas I believe these two are as great of a fit as possible. And, man, I can’t believe how much better they BOTH got as playmakers…it’s just awesome to see!

Especially the way the offense stalled and he was the one to break the fast and get a key bucket to keep it a 2 possession game with a minute left. Going up 3-0 vs going 2-1 is the difference between the 2024 win and the 2022 loss.

JB has a bad media case of Pippen Syndrome, although fortunately he's got a much better attitude about it. The analysts want to act like they don't know he's on a team that doesn't need him to be the #1 option. If he was on a lottery team, he'd take twice as many shots per game and average something in the mid-30s or higher, and they'd be moaning that he's too good to be on a bad team.

I don't get it either. Highly athletic, monster dunks on every star in the league, and does everything you want on defense. He's incredible and really is one of the best players in the league but people have him in the 10-20 range when he's easily top 10 (top 5 in my book but I'm biased).
