I carry a life straw on every hike. I haven't had to use it, but I like having it. Better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it! Loved the video, another great hike and fantastic footage!

@@AliceFordAdventures It looked cool for sure. I like that you can refill your water bottle with it. If things keep going the way they are with prices, it might be good to have one just to have it.

@@AliceFordAdventures Yes indeed. I'm talking 25 years ago. I don't remember the Ca Condors being a highlight. I wonder if that is relatively new. Probably not. I used to take the long trail all of the time. Then hang in the parking lot until sunset for the ride back.

Congrats on conquering all the parks. Perhaps your top 10, well, top 9, California national parks list is forthcoming. Alltrails says 1,630 ft. elevation gain but I imagine the heat makes it feel higher. Good information because the sun is a formidable opponent when I'm roaming the Earth. I'd be swimming, rather than drinking, in that lake. Seeing a condor up close would be neat.

We lived in Hollister, CA for 15 years, visited PInnacles many times, but...you must do this by May at the latest. Pleasant weather, much greener, and wildflowers everywhere! Good for birds as well. Did a moonlight hike there once which is a great time of "day" to avoid sunburn.

Loved the views from that trail and you being buzzed by the 2 condors. We were there this year in late April. We really enjoyed the talus cave trails...need a headlamp and hands free in some areas. The east side talus caves are more kid friendly than the west ones, but challenging and fun.

Awesome!!! One of the national parks I haven't seen, and now I know what trail to do. I hope my hike goes as well as your's. Wow! Those two condors flying right over you was EPIC. I always enjoy your videos. You cover the important details with good and concise descriptions. I appreciate your no fluff style of highlighting a place. You make it about the location, and not yourself like so many travel blog people. Where's next? For me, I'm driving to Alaska next month. Over 60 hours driving plus day stops at Glacier NP, Waterton NP, Banff NP, Jasper NP, Wrangell St. Elias NP, and hope to squeeze in a day trip to fly into Gates of the Arctic NP and (if all goes perfect) Katmai NP. I'll pass along all my hot travel tips with ya afterwards. Thanks again for the info. Oh yeah, and love LifeStraw. It makes backpacking so much easier, but more importantly it's been instrumental across the globe in providing clean water to people during crises. Everyone on the planet needs one.

@@AliceFordAdventures In Glacier, Mt. Siyeh is a great hike. Going up to the summit is a ROUGH hike and you can just go up to Siyeh Pass if it's too much. Also, Mt Oberlin is a nice and short, but rewarding, hike to the summit. The trailhead starts at the visitor center that's on top of Going to the Sun Rd. The best hike though? Highline Trail! Stay at the cabins that are on it if possible. It's one of the best hikes I've done in the entire country. Finland sounds awesome! I'm gonna guess you're chasing the northern lights. Enjoy and I look forward to the highlight vid.
