Hey guys, just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for this video! We had the best day yesterday hiking this hike, then we followed your recommendation and did the other hike in the afternoon. It was a bit busier than in your video, but still only a handful of people! So we had the best day! Also had a look through your videos and saw you use to live in Sydney! Ah that's amazing! thanks so much and we're so glad it ha helped. There wasn't a sign when we were there (this might have changed) but when you're there you can see that you just need to head right instead of left where the path splits (away from the Rifugio!) How long does it take from Rifugio Auronzo?
@TwosomeTravellers2 жыл бұрын
It really depends, if you walk and do not stop for photographs then perhaps 45 minutes. But we spent some time taking photos etc and so took longer, it also depends on your fitness level. I would allow a few hours to be safe to get there and back and take some photos along the way :)

@TwosomeTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Hmm hard to say, we saw families doing the Tre Cime hike with a carrier, we didn't see any on Cadini though, it's hard to say really as it depends on whether you are a confident/experienced hiker.. You could start it and then if you feel its too sketchy you could always turn back to the car park and do Tre Cime instead?

Thanks so much! Yeah its pretty easy, you'll see a faint path, to be honest if you just start walking it becomes pretty clear where the path is away from the Rifugio, to the right of it. Not left where the Tre Cime starts, basically just the opposite direction :)

The trail is marked as 117; with your back to the Refugio, head to the right instead of the left and you’ll hit it.

@TwosomeTravellers Жыл бұрын
Most definitely! There are amazing views within the first 5 minutes of walking. Plenty of safe open areas on this hike without doing the narrow path. You’ll both love it!

Amazing spot and amazing vid. Makes me wanna go there. Is the trail signed ? Do you think this hike is suitable and safe for a family (couple + 5,13,16,17), especially the last part to the viewpoint ?
@TwosomeTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Hey! It starts off with no trail but also starts very wide with no steep drop offs at the beginning. I guess it’s a very subjective question as every child is so different! You can see that there are some very steep drop offs and narrow pathways in some areas, I guess it would depend on how confident/comfortable your children are with this kind of thing! We did see a family do the hike but they didn’t go all the way to the view point in that helps. Either way though have an amazing time in the dolomites, you could check out our vlog on Tre cime di Lavaredo where we saw a lot of families doing the hike, the pathway is nice and wide and well marked!
@drorcazes2 жыл бұрын
@@TwosomeTravellers is the narrow/steep stuff mainly in the last part, just before reaching the viewpoint ? to be honest my wife is abit scared of heights...and so is my 13 year old girl. plus i have a 5 year old !!!! do you think we can still enjoy most of the hike and when we reach the viewpoint, those who are afraid can skip the last bit and wait for us aside ?

Sadly the Auronzo hut is always full, so sponatously overnighting there is not possible. I did arrive at 9am and hiked first to Cadini di Misurina, then did the ascent to Monte Paterno with the amazing ww1 tunnels and then went to the Sasso di Sesto view point (this view will blow your mind). Then returned to the Auronzo hut Cadini a hidden gem?? you're joking, when I was there there were constantly cheesy couples hogging the places and not letting anyone up there
@AykutArgun Жыл бұрын
How dangerous is the walks here? Asking for potentially coming here for astrophotography? 😁😬😬
@TwosomeTravellers Жыл бұрын
Hey! Ah this is a hard question to answer as it’s so subjective! We hike fairly often and would say the hike itself wasn’t tough, however there are very steep cliffs with big drop offs and so could be pretty sketchy at night. Not sure if you watched the vlog but you might be able to gauge better from the video as we share a lot on the location :)
@AykutArgun Жыл бұрын
@Twosome Travellers thanks for the answer, I have watched the video. I think my best answer is to hike there during the day and then decide if its reasonable to make it during the night.
