The Low Beskids captivate with their tranquility and diverse landscapes, hiding beauty in their lesser-known corners that you won’t find in popular tourist destinations. This time, we set out to explore the Myscowa area, aiming to conquer Łysa Góra and show you what it’s like to travel off the beaten path. Traveling by camper allowed us complete freedom to choose routes and overnight stops.
Our first stop was Wrzosowa Polana, offering free parking. In the morning, we headed to Myscowa, from where we planned to ascend Łysa Góra. Instead of tourist crowds, we encountered an untouched trail that made our hike more challenging. However, this situation had its perks: nearby, we found a parking spot by the water, with a stream adding a unique charm to the place. When the weather is unpredictable, a camper becomes a perfect base - there’s no need to worry about accommodation, and you can freely adjust your plans to enjoy the wonders of the Low Beskids.
Ultimately, we chose a route starting from Kąty, where the trail to Łysa Góra is well-marked and gentle. However, it’s far from boring - the trail offers panoramic views of green hills and valleys. Former grazing areas along the way remind you why this peak is called "bald." Nature is steadily reclaiming the land here, with young forests and numerous meadows where sheep once roamed.
The Low Beskids invite contemplation and provide a deeper connection to the region’s history. In the area, you can find traces of old Lemko villages, and stories about witches linked to "bald" peaks add a touch of mystery. What enchanted us the most was the silence - unlike crowded resorts, here you can still feel like a true explorer. You’ll encounter only a few wandering souls with cameras or locals happy to point you toward less obvious paths.
This kind of off-the-grid adventure in the Low Beskids fosters humility and allows you to truly listen to nature. Traveling by camper, you can effortlessly change locations and make the most of what this region has to offer. Łysa Góra is just one destination - nearby, there are more trails, waterfalls, and hidden valleys that leave a lasting impression. If you’re looking for peace and authentic beauty, the Low Beskids won’t disappoint.
