Talk to Me is a 2022 Australian supernatural horror film directed by Danny and Michael Philippou, in their feature film directorial debut. Written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman from a concept by Daley Pearson, the film stars Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji, and Miranda Otto. It follows a group of teenagers who discover they are able to contact spirits using a mysterious embalmed hand, only for one of them to take things too far.
Talk to Me had its preview screening at the 2022 Adelaide Film Festival, followed by its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival on 22 January 2023. It was theatrically released in Australia on 27 July 2023 and internationally the following day. The film received positive reviews from critics, who praised its story, horror sequences, practical effects, and performances. In August 2023, a sequel was confirmed for development.

Actually she wasn't dumb, she was just too depressed to notice when things went overboard wrong, We can notice that in that one scene after she tries the hand thingy for the first time,Riley asks her how her whole 'talking to the entities' session was and instead of being traumatized or scared by that, she felt it was an amazing experience. As it was probably ago when she was able to feel things on that depth, she was never over the trauma of her mother attempting suicide.

I saw this film today. Honestly, I liked this film, the story was good, and it was scary too. The ending was not expected. Everyone is angry on mia but we would not call the main character dumb because she was missing her mother a lot. It's just mia is lost so she just done some fucking shits. But literally you kept the spirit in little boy's body for 2 minutes to for your selfishness. And later after all this happens she is still contacting her mother, she went home and tried to meet his mother, she didn't realise wtf she did just now. Poor boy, his face condition still haunts me. why did mia allow him? Even in the end she was not able to realize that she was not his mother, it was an evil spirit but his mother's appearance. But maybe in the end the boy was saved, that's what they showed. overall movie fantastic. It is worth watching.

Please explain about the origin of that hand and also is riley safe ? Why were the spirits targeting riley? Also explain the scene we saw when riley spirit was surrounded by other demonic spirit in the hospital.

1)The hand has inscription in several languages such as English, Sanskrit and Latin. I don't know what the sanskrit inscription meant but once it's out on OTT platform people will decode it. This hand supposedly belonged to a witch who trapped souls using that hand. Then used these souls to torment people but then she was killed and her hand was preserved by some other black magic practitioner and kept being passed on from one person to another while collecting souls on the way. 2) The rule of the game says that possession should not last more than 85 seconds at max, otherwise the spirits will possess you permanently. Mia extended Riley's possession for 2 min 15 secs. 3) Spirit world created by the hand is called Limbo. This world contains spirits that have died using the hand ONLY. Spirits who have died without using the hand or unrelated to the hand are not part of the Limbo. So basically Mia was fooled by spirits in the hand, her mom was never there. These spirits have been trapped for 1000s of years in Limbo so they look for emotionally weak human to possess and relive outside of Limbo.
