I'm new to Vinegar Syndrome releases but of the one's I have gotten my favorite is Madman. It's an underappreciated 80's slasher movie that looks great with the 4k restoration and it has some great extras including the 90 minute documentary revisiting the making of Madman and it's fan base.

Don't sleep on Graduation Day also from Vinegar Syndrome it's one of my favorite 80s slashers PERIOD

Just watched Dead Dudes in the House and I was pleasantly surprised I was expecting it to be just strait up bad but I had a lot of fun with it.

I watched my first VS remaster recently: The Killing Kind. A fun, incredibly trashy Psycho clone. More of an uncomfortable Gothic than a horror flick. Some solid absurd humor, as well. These recs sound great. I love Farris’s All Heads Turn When the Hunt Goes By, so I can’t wait to see Dear Dead Delilah. And Blood on Satan’s Claw is terrific. The score alone is worth the price of admission.

The Killing Kind is great, to me it feels like a real forerunner to the more “realistic” serial killer movies. Dear Dead Delilah is different than his books but is really great.

I only have a couple of their titles so far, importing them can be expensive... I recall watching Body Melt on VHS in the 90s, but don’t remember the film that much. Hoping I’ll get the chance to see the Blu Ray, I think it’s being put out in the U.K. next year by 88 Films, but I’d like to get more VS titles in my collection if possible.
@AdamCesare6 жыл бұрын
Funny because I bet our collections are inverses, since I’ve only got one release from 88 Films (Bogey Man).
@LordFroggysDungeon6 жыл бұрын
If you ever need anything from the U.K. just get in touch and I’ll see what can be done. Some of the 88 Films don’t have the same extras, e.g. the soundtracks put out by Severin (except The Changeling) and Absurd BR is supposed to have a better print.

just finished EXPONENTIAL ....loved it!!!!!! Loved Vickie so so much!!! AND of course...Felix...cute little blob wolf =) to ANYONE who loves monster horror like The Blob or The Thing or Feast or The Relic etc etc...you'll LOOOOVE this book!! Lots of fun, also well written, and I could easily see it as a film as well!!!
@AdamCesare6 жыл бұрын
Wow! That is one heck of an endorsement. Thank you so much for reading it, Shelia, and I'm so glad you enjoyed. If you have a second to put a sentence or two review up on amazon/audible, it helps me out so much.
@BabyDoIIx6 жыл бұрын
im going to, and the praise is warranted...i like how during death scenes, you write A LOT like an author named "Nick Cutter"...your death scenes are very visceral, you pour out empathy, very emotional, and personal...you like to take us inside their mental pain, over physical pain of death...would you agree??? And yes! First half of the book i almost got a Blob The Stand hybrid feel...and the second half felt like a mix between Tremors/FEAST/The Blob...that, holed up in a building out in the country with a monster wanting in...THE BEST kind of horror IMO
