sheesh guys are hard on you on this one =) - let me try to be constructive. Like the video and presentation very clear and structured for a guide and not beating around the bush for 30 minutes - so thumbs up for that. But why does every content creator currently pump out videos with the same build at the moment especially for sorc and claim it is "the best". Ice shards is more or less solved, and this version is not it. 30 mana regen aspect is so bad compared to the 25 mana on cooldown for example (regen increases only the base regen you have and 30% more of 5 a second or so is not a lot). frost nova level 1 for pure ice shard, when the build does only damage on frozen targets.... why not lvl 9 or 12 like the usual builds (or if we talking about "best" then 16 with a shako, not that you need to have one but we are talking about "best" here right)? you should mention that the aspect from the amulett triple dips when a target is frozen stunned AND immobilized (thats the reason the flame shield aspect is taken actually (and also the reason one would swap in meteor) not the minor mobility boost to run through enemys, for that we have dashes and teleport. Attack speed on gloves is really strong for ice shards since it is a big multiplier for all damage - you should mention it - since mana is usually solved by lucky hit and the cooldown aspect this also helps you proccing more avalnche triggers and would also increase boss stagger with frostbolt enchant That is a thing i really like in your build - most people just jam 2 points into firebolt (even though its not needed) - having frostbolt available for pure singletarget can be nice. Also your mentions about defense are spot on. In the end, what you present here is a suboptimal but suited build for exactly a 10 - 20 level above range - not maximized for higher content, not good enough for real speedfarming. I know content creators need to play the "omg look at the best build here" game to get clicks but why not say - "my favorite ice shard variant" or something sorry i do not want to bash but its hard to see the same video everyday and hoping for something cool and in the end its not even on the level that maxroll had up before the game even launched and also not something innovative like the blizzard hybrid variants or the "frostburn, lets play on range only" variant

This is around the 12th or 13th channel uploading almost identical builds claiming they are the "new best spec". Trying to be polite/respectful about watching essentially re-runs on different channels but it gets hard when you just want to find someone that has an actual unique new build. Enjoying the game but realizing the content creators have absolutely nothing to go off of at this point, might hold off the diablo 4 content until there is something that isn't a replay. tldr: build is 99% copied with a couple changes to how the boards are placed

Look at path of exile build... those are fun or creative (mostly). The game is just unfinished to be fair.. Atleast I hope, because the game needs more content.

@@michaeldodaro I just set my build into this one, and it made me more sluggish in dungenons.. Which is weird because I wasn't using Fire bolt enchantment before, and I expected a bit more nafta out of it, but it didn't deliver.. I set my older stuff back so at least my CC is back on the menu. I tried a shitload of builds like this and I'm nowhere near 1 000 000 dmg at all.. If I'm lucky I max out at 125 000 - 150 000/hit. I'm only 98 though, but I just don't think that 1,5 ranks of level would bring me that much power... I don't know what I'm missing..

Since almost 90% of sorc builds use at least 4 defensive skills, I much more prefer to use Prodigy Aspect if there's a need for mana. But in most endgame shard builds , there isn't

I was sick of all the defensive too.. yesterday was bored so decided to try and make a complete toxic rain build. When I cast blizzard I'm now raining 5 different CC's ( Slow, Immobilize, Daze, Chill and Freeze. Add firebolt enchant and its kinda fun. Umbral aspect even at 1 mana per cc...never out..not to mention blizzard ice spikes with a high gear score. Will the ever be true end game or meta? Heck no but so sick of everyone doing the same build videos but taking one different passive to claim the build is their own. Definitely not as fast and damaging as most but wanted to try something different. hilarious in a group play setting.

Ice shards build doesn't care about burning damage, only that the mobs are burning. I question the paragon board advice and think there is alot of dmg missing on the first board. Look at non-physical damage.

When u get to lv 15 there’s gonna be a side quest for skill enchantment and u unlock the first slot after quest lv 30 the second slot will unlock. Assign skill and above ur skills there’s two slot for enchantments

I switched off of ice shards. I found it to be incredibly boring. I just switched to chain lightning with lightning spear with frost bolt and ball lightning enchant. CL crits all the time which procs random ball lightnings to spawn on an enemy which is great for nuking down packs. Not sure how well it will scale but at 73 it’s improved clear speed

They finally dropped for me at level 70 last night, they are DEFINITELY BETTER THAN FROSTBURN GLOVES, but depending on the rolls on a good pair of ancestral gloves it’s a close call. Something that you’ll have to decide for yourself by comparison of the two. I will say that I do like the damage from my Fists of Fate so far but I also know that the damage is RNG dependent!!

They act as a barrier hence an aspect can say “you deal 25% more damage when u have a barrier” meaning u can use ice armour and then pop the flame armour for a barrier

@@michaoboza9898 Running an arc lash build. Been trying to get a raiment since 54. I'm around 66 now. So much of the game is now heavily invested into RNG. Gambling is a waste. Helltide is scheduled stupidity. I have T4 unlocked, but survival is risky. Most the time I just grind to see rare items and occasionally Sacred. But about the only ancestral items that drop are blue items. Lets not forget the severe shortage of inventory space.

+4 ranks to ice shard is a really good amount of bonus damage and it's also stable with the other gloves you have a chance to do 1 damage as well as 10 million but it's very inconsistent. If you really want to play the glove I recommande a blizzard or arc lash build since you're hitting ennemies so often with those build the effect is probably worth trying but you'll also lose Crit chance - attack speed you could have on a another glove

From pure dmg stand point fist of fate will always be worse than +4ice shard and good affixes and another aspect. 300% fist of fate is basicaly avg 1,5x dmg multiplier. +4 iceshard = 1,28x multi Aspect 1,2-1,25 ( barier or vuln dmg) Then you can have crit, attack, lucky hit So you have stable and more consistant dmg output. Fist of fate are really good for more stagger because you have 2 lucky hit chance to do crowd control

go see NORI who cleared nmd t100 with fist of fate. it has cc built in ie immobilised to synergise with control aspect, stun fr raiment chest and frozen fr nova skill - triple dipped dmg. of cos u could flame shield to immobilise but there is cd.

You will not do more damage than 500-800k per hit.. the iceshard cant do hits over a mio in this setting. For bigger hits you need the fists of fate and a 2hand weapon, but then you will have no constant damage and less cooldown reduction... Sorc is just not made for the big hits.

I for the life of me cannot figure out how he is hitting 600-700k? there is not even +3 to devouring blaze on amulet. I have all three biggest damage boost affixes, the barrier, barrier against vulnerable enemies, and damage to stun, immobilized, and frozen. I have more crit damage and vulnerable damage on my items. and Max i cirt is 330kish. The paragon board doesn't seem to show anything particularly special on to do THAT much more damage. The only difference is i put affix for crit chance based on mana on my amulet so I crit almost 100% of the time. Anyone know the fuck this dude his hitting those high numbers?

Doesn’t matter, still worse than all other classes. Lv 100 sorc here. Abandoned the class out of cheer frustration. I’m now at lv 72 with bone spear necro and it’s not even funny how much better it is.

NGL not a good build. Lacking points in Frost Nova and not having all defense skills or an amulet that buffs damage is very very wrong. Need defense? Get barriers….

Ice shards does 5900 at lvl 5 but frost bolt does 4900 at lvl 1. Are we sure it's not better to put 5 points into frost bolt?

@@slimeflow926 remember that sorcerers are getting oneshot without putting so much into defense because resistance isnt working so we waste points into defense where we could spent them into dmg etc to run even higher stuff. sorcerer is the most broken class and if its getting fixed then sorcerer will be very good.

You should show the sorcs real single target DPS rather than showing a boss that was 1 skill away from being staggered then showing off your "DPS" lol

Build is very meh, you don't need all of those extra stats like regen on your ring mages basically have infinite mana late game. CDR on everything to reduce teleport if you're dungeon farming. If you're farming I would assume you don't need deep freeze it literally takes away from your overall time. If you don't want to make a mistake on TP just don't TP randomly. FYI Frost Ice shard doesn't apply chill and you don't even have frost nova on boots which is pretty major, very useless board since we don't apply much chill so I stopped watching there. Build is 1/5. 1 for effort

I never said Ice Shard applies chill. But when you freeze mobs with frost nova it applies chill and when you stagger a boss it applies all the crowd control. (I have a passive skill, Snap Freeze, in the skill tree, where frost skill has a chance to freeze mobs.) Thanks for the comment.

@@TheLifeofaGamer_ But what's the point on doing a semi optimal build to push lower dungeons when a full fledged build grants you access to higher NM dungeons. I'm going to assume they will be adding things to eternal realm in the future so having the best builds early on will grant you future end game content faster. IMO it's better to build fully optimal rather than sub optimal. This is opinion based. Your build is viable but yeah to a certain extent there are some huge holes you need to fill as I'm seeing you're only pushing 60s NM dungeon solos

he should be using blizzard for chill instead of deep freeze, spam a few bliz at start of fight, then regen mana with nova, and shard anything left.

@@ahwayzcool4630 My RNG has been pretty good. I usually get an updated Raiment chest every 10 levels or so. Though the problem I have is getting the same 2-3 unique.

u literally don't need that much. This was my starting build, and from 1-70 was pretty chill, no gear requirements. And by the time ur 70, u probably got some gear.
