I would suggest for body-weight strength training to balance Push, Pull, Squat, Hinge, and Cardiovascular exercises. But you still can follow a same routine. I would suggest to start with 3 rounds or 3 sets.

If you had to train 1 exersize that will improve your parkour and freerunning the most every day of the week what would the exerzise be, I personally think box jumps as high as you can because most of the moves and tricks have jumping motions in them! :) Awesome video, cant wait to try this

Ok time for a real comment so i was doing parkour yesterday and i decided im going to try the speed vault and i did it tight on the left side but then on the right side i clipped my feet and almost faceplanted. With some people watching
@TappBrothers
@TappBrothers 9 жыл бұрын
+MOTO MONSTER Props on getting the speed vault on your left side. Also props for not being afraid to train in front of other people ;) The opposite side can be difficult to get down. I personally had trouble with my right side at the beginning. I would recommend taking it back a level with the right side and drill the safety vault on that side. Then continue with the progression steps. - Thomas

Awesome circuit as always, one question: you've shared a lot of great workout videos and circuits, but there's just not enough time (and energy) to do a lot of them, so which one(s) do you recommend to start out with from a regular (office worker) fitness level? Is there one best training circuit if you want to lose some weight, get stronger and get ready for parkour?

+TappBrothers Loved the video and the advice on changing up the grip and even adding in circulars which are two ideas I use often in training, but almost never see/hear mentioned. This workout is really similar to a strength workout I use except that I do the upper-body movements one right after another then do the lower-body movements. I usually mix in a few reps of a couple gymnastics/parkour move I'm training as a skill in between the second upper move and after the second lower move. I keep the reps in the 3-6 range using bands to help resist mostly or upgrading to a more advanced version of a move or just slowing it down on the negative. The whole workout is designed to increase your overall physical capacity to do work while gaining physical strength/power, cutting fat due to intensity and actually building some muscle. It can be daunting even for me to do, but it is always worth. No matter how bad you feel about life or the day, Parkour and training makes everything a little bit better. Right now my easy version is something like this: Pullup - Dip - Fronthandspring/Frontflip - One-leg Deadlift - Pistol Squat - Backhandspring/Backflip (still working on not putting my hands down on that one, any advice?) then rest 3 minutes. The whole thing, including rest should take you no more than 7 minutes/round. If it takes longer then the resistance is too much. This is what I did to simultaneously gain strength, explosive power, and stamina all at the same time. I hope the post wasn't too long; I just get fired up about Parkour/Freerunning and training in general. I'm actually studying to become a Kineologist and I guinea pig ideas about motion physicality on myself. I hope someone can make use the idea.

Hey there, men. your videos are great. I love them, actually I use more than half of them... but I've got a question here, I'm a kind of away from the horizontal bar, are there any ways to replace them? I can use scaffolds somewhere 1.5 miles away from home, but the thing is, I can't perform the whole round (mentioned in the video) thanks for your tips, guys, good luck

This is a great workout Thomas! I'm going to try it today, but I have one question, for the inverted planks, why do you switch to your wrists and not stay on your fore arm? I feel tention more in my shoulders than in my core when I do inverted planks on my wrists.

Hey guys I need help, I tried all kind of techniques and exercises to warm up my knees but nothing works. The basic thing I do is lubricate them by twisting in and out and try to activate the muscles around them but no matter what I do I still feel even when I try the basic stuff like squats. And its also not about strength because I can do the hardest exercises like pistol squats all the way down and other hard stuff. Please don't ignore this if you have a method

+HenryS Steam This circuit we're just resting after each round. It will be pretty intense and develop some great stamina and cardio. The key is to pace yourself. But if this is too much feel free to place some rest in between each exercise (1-2 minutes). Just make sure you perform each exercise and round ;)
