When you follow your intuition, it leads to the creation of amazing things. When you ignore intuition, it leads to struggle and regret. This channel was born out of intuition, and I have not looked back ever since. These videos will continue to get better. This is my promise to you. Huge thank you to those who support After Skool on Patreon. Your generosity truly means the world. I am grateful, honored and humbled. www.patreon.com/AfterSkool

I really do enjoy and have learned from your channel. Your art helps me understand a lot of these great thoughts. May I note that you included no women in this list. That they are all of a certain gender and race. What do you think that means to you and your current and future viewers? I wish you a million subscribers and more.

@@AfterSkool Good ideas are good ideas no matter the speaker indeed. I hope my comment is taken more constructively as you, your channel, and we grow. I say this thinking that I like and listen to most of these speakers too, but I know that there are more great ideas out there that I'm not paying attention to, simply because I don't know about them. So I'm selfishly asking for help.

I would tend to agree. But I am torn. It seems I am lost, as I feel I don't truly know myself at all... I've spent 23 years drowning myself in drugs and alcohol... I'm now 36 hours sober from a 10 year opiate use which was at first noble, but has begun to feel a prison. I just quit, can't trust myself anymore... but numbing myself seems to endgame. I'm drinking a beer at 8 in the morning. Pathetic! I've quit drinking before, no problem, but I've ALWAYS had some mind altering or numbing substance. What is it that I can't accept who I am? And more importantly, WHO AM I?

These are the lessons I have learned to be the key to happiness and living a beautiful life. 1. Find something in every situation that you’re grateful for, write it down. 2. There is some thing likable about every person on earth find it and let them know that you like that thing about them. It will change The way they see you and possibly the way they see themselves. Even if it’s the most horrible person you’ve ever met but they have good hair let them know that you like their hair. We always get our faults and defects of character pointed out to us it’s hard not to feel positively about someone who has pointed out one of your more redeeming qualities. 3. When in doubt always act with kindness. Kindness is always the answer no matter the problem. 4. When you have more than you need, give, when you have enough, stop, when you need more, ask. If everyone did this the world would have a lot less pain and suffering. 5, Trust is the greatest gift someone can give you. Be worthy of it. .......... so to wrap it all up, what is the secret to happiness..“Fear Less, Love More” -Hillary Marek (nobody famous, just someone who thinks deeply and finally found peace and serinity after a lifetime of pain and suffering. )

True Newtype What about the Holocaust? Viktor Frankl survived it coz he chose his life purpose, the meaning of living, over suffering. He suffered greatly too, his wife and unborn child died in a separate camp. He observed all the others without a strong purpose in life eventually succumbed to the suffering and died. Yes, it is not fair to die so senselessly but in the unfairness of it all, there is still an option. Depending on your perspective and reason for living.

I have casually watched your videos occasionally for years now but I never resonated with it or understood it on a deep level. Recently I went through a shift in consciousness, I consider it my second major shift in my life, I was an atheist, but when this shift occurred I became aware of the presence of god, and this was reinforced through sign after sign after sign, but it was like I was blind and now I see. Jean V agree with everything you said. I just found myself looking for things to call out. As much as he was helping me, I was also using him as my ammo too. I feel there are 3 stages. Pre JP, which is confusion and doubling down on ignorant shit. Then there’s bridge phase where gains are crazy under his teaching. But it’s so turbulent because you have all these changes you’re dealing with and also looking back at who you were (this is where I was looking for opportunities to call out people). And then 3rd stage is the soft landing where you’re way more aware than stage 1, and able to deal with the change too. Anyways have a great day!

it seems a little metaphorical ? @@AnotherDustSpec yes I understand your point. You're saying that language is not the barrier, rather people's own biases and prejudices that don't let them understand the idea/concept. And I agree. But the point I am making is the fact that some (not all) ideas are such in nature that no amount of words, or even pictures for that matter, are enough to encapsulate the entire meaning of the idea. You should really look up shadow projection. Thats most of what peterson is and why comments like this exist on the internet. Take a tally of all the things you can't make yourself do that you know you should, because we can only do a small number of things, especially if not aided by societal systems that facilitate them. And you'll see "response-ability" is a social construct. Its a BS word that we apply very arbitrarily based on shadow projection. It has no basis in reality. Its like telling everyone that they can be a good artists and also scientist and doctor and investor if they just try. Because there exist people who are all those things, so your just not being responsibile and trying hard enough. Its really just the current burn in hell you sinners philosophy.

Wow! After a life of seeking out Shamans in the Amazon jungle, speaking with Rabbis, priests, monks, swamis, gurus, leaders, teachers, psychologists, to learning about Buddhism, Zen, Yoga, Kundalini, Chakras, Ayahuasca, to reading books Books from sages, prophets, mystics and seers through the ages here you come and in a way that everyone can “get it” if they choose, provide in a most clever, honest, cute and inviting way in eight minutes give the planet this gift. From my understanding this has taken most awakened, enlightened, conscious people on the planet endless avenues of pursuit, suffering, isolation and so much more to learn. I’m 58 and thought I had done a great deal of work, if you will, to awaken and stay awake. I did it, read it, tried it, traveled to it, and finally began to understand these were all roads which always led me right back to go within. The gift of these teachings combined with the artwork will be for so many what they have been searching for. It’s clear to me this is what you are here to provide. Your service to the seeming individual but actual collective consciousness is deeply appreciated. I will be sharing this with everyone I can possibly think of knowing seeds will be planted as intended, answers will be given and sudden awakenings are inevitable. Thank you is not enough for the gratitude I feel for what you’ve provided for all beings everywhere. May you receive the blessings you’ve shared a million-fold returned to you. In love, light, gratitude, blessings, peace, joy and healing to you and everyone reading this ~ 🙏🏼💖🙏🏼🕊✨👏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️ Anna

*The reason why you don't know what yout want:* 1) You already have it. 2) You don't know yourself.
@a1lyhall
@a1lyhall 4 жыл бұрын
Wanting is an all encompassing attitude. Our deepest ‘wanting’, which is really a needing, to be right. Because, from early childhood we are trained to show correct behaviour, to get loving approval, and rewards (food, delicious treats, toys). Just like we train dogs. But perhaps, our deepest right, is to experience ourselves with pure freedom. Care free, playful and quiet, and joyfully loud. This is correct behaviour. And therefore to stop wanting to be right, , one can either, always be right, or stop wanting to be right, which requires being aware for a fair length of time that the wanting attitude has vanished.

Really cool to see this channel grow. I've been there from the start and although I do not agree with some of the perspectives from the people that you name this video, I find their ideas intriguing. It's funny to see how much I've changed over a period of time when reflecting back to your channels history. When I started watching I was in this JP rabbit hole and then went into the Alan Watts rabbit hole. Both perspectives gave me a lot of insights and made me the balanced person I am today. Really grateful for your quality content that gave me the chance to explore all these perspectives.
