I'd like to know which of these cameras takes better pictures and if there's a significant difference in picture quality ?

I would say that the Mini 12 is better. It takes brighter photos and viewfinder is more accurate.

I just purchased an Instax 12, did the lens rotation feel flimsy. I felt that there was no stability from the on position to the selfie position/ mode. Did you notice that?
