I did the same to mine, fitted one with a black background and silver jaguar head to match the piano black trim. Reason for fitting it was I kept getting the sun reflecting off the silver top into my eyes while driving.

well done, i did the same on mine but I just stick it on top of it without removing the cover and it's working very well (i've the new version of the cat black as I do not have your beautiful old wood style but just black and silver style :/)

No need to remove the metal plate. Just give it a clean and stick the new one on top, like I did.

Very Nice interior Jaguar XF gear knob upgrade but the two links you provide don't offer the same exact wood grain decor emblem that you use in the video and I've tried Ebay also and couldn't find it there either... :(( Any other suggestions??

Looks very bad@$$! I have 2013 S XF. Forever in love with the X250 model. if i had a wood trim as yours id do this upgrade too. But mine is piano black trimmed with ivory leather. Wont fit the design ;(

How did you make it? the plate in my car sticks really tight and I can’t peel it off with a dryer and drivers I only got bunch of scratches, lol

You have to let the surface get really hot. Your hair dryer might not be as strong, so hold it close to the plate for like a minute then try

Although you can remove it of course I didn’t bother even talking it off I stuck it straight on the top of what was there and it looks the same ...and it’ll cover up those scratches 😳😂

How is the interior from a 2012-2015 version while exterior before 2012 (restyling) ?

Hi Anthony, as far as interior.. all the grey buttons on the center console and window switches are now black in the facelift 2012-2015 as well as a faster and better graphics navigation screen. The seats are a bit more supportive and more comfortable as well. Newer odometer cluster panel, much nicer steering wheel

@@MrCARman Sorry, but non of that is suitable for quality audio. It is ok on a small battery powered phone with tinny sounding ear buds but it is not what I would call quality audio.

@@petermitchell6348 Then you should have chosen the Bowers and Wilkins upgrade. Modern Jags have Meridian. Not much beats those. Very happy with the B&W system in mine.

@@joeamesquita6131 It comes with digital radio, and that is about it realy. It produces a half hearted attempt at 'audio' in the Shape of Apple MP3 system which, apart from a great deal of faffing about to get something out of it is about as naff fidelity quality as it gets.

My iPhone simply plugs in and works of the screen. I have Bowers Wilkinson system and cant fault the sound quality. My car is 10years old now. Not going to find. Apple car play etc in a car that old.

I've added something similar to my XF, but I positioned it so that it's in the right orientation when the car's in Drive, not Park. I chose to do this because then it looks right when I'm driving the car.
