My teleprompter is coming tomorrow and I'm so excited. It's been taking me way too long to put out content because my scripts are long to memorize, but I feel like having the teleprompter will be game changing.

Tip: the closer you stand to the camera when using the teleprompter, the more eye movement when reading. The further back you can get, the better ( I know that's hard for small recording spaces), that way -- it doesn't look like you're reading from a teleprompter. You can notice his eye movement in the sample at timestamp 4:30. :)

I've been using PromptSmart app on my phone. The best feature is that it follows my voice. It I go off script, it waits until I come back to the next line. Works on Apple, Android and PC. It would work with this teleprompter. It can also record video and / or audio as it displays the script.

Hey man, great review. I'm about to buy the teleprompter to use with my canon 60D. I have exactly what you have there, ring light, lenses, mic,etc. right now I'm using a teleprompter that works with a mobile but it is changing the color in a bad way, so I have to correct on post. I have a Sony ZV1 and I have a teleprompter that I use with my iPad Pro. I also have an 18inch ring light When I do my setup I see the outer circle of the ring light. Do you see that in your camera ? Trying to figure out how to get rid of that outer circle in the shot.

What I don’t understand is how the camera records through the teleprompter? I’ve never used one before, I know it’s glass tho, but the camera doesn’t record the reflection?? Lol I know it might be a stupid question but I just have to clue

Ok i just googled and they use a special kind of glass that makes it work. It’s reflective on one side and transparent on the other side, clever physics i guess. Just in case anyone else has the same question

I am new to this self video- ing stuff so forgive me if I am asking an obvious or dumb question here. I don't have a video camera. So can I install the Video Telepromptor app onto my Ipad, then run my script on it while that same Ipad films me at the same time. Just like like you can you can on an Iphone?

Thanks for the video. I am curious whether this kind of simpler teleprompter set up would allow you to use a high end (HD/4k) stream cam. The stream cam would attach, but I am trying to determine if the mic would work behind the glass, or if one would have to set up a separate mic (which isn't a problem, but need a few extra gizmos). Is there anything else one might consider when using a standard stream cam on a teleprompter that I am not considering? Thanks in advance!
