You gotta love those 'fits in one way only' plugs. I spent 2 hours hours once just swapping a car stereo over because I couldn't get a hold of the correct plug adapter and had to do all the wires separately with a soldering gun. I had an E46 BMW like you did once and I changed the tape deck to a CD deck, it still took ages because even with the correct plug trying to squeeze it into the back of the slot it goes in had no space to manoeuvre my hands in.

Usually I'm the old school kinda guy you know analog gauges , keep things simple , what can I say I'm an old fart... but damn Jerry that new fangled dash is really impressive , really nice features and accesses some nice important features-information , I like the look of the different screens very nice!! Well done !! I just finished installing a tailgate table . I've wanted one for a long time. When you are out exploring for months at a time convenience and ease of set up and tear down becomes very important , and the tailgate table will be a game changer out there on the trails in the bush. Cheers Wild Bill Jeep overloading the remotest regions of northern Canada...and Alaska when the opportunity arises.

Yes it does and you can also control the brightness with the control knob as you would with the old dash

Not a big fan of the startup sound but depending on how customizable the dash is with what gauges you can have on at once id say itd be a good buy

Does that dash have the option to show the vehicle pitch / incline when offroad?

@@BackCountryWrenching Thanks for the quick reply, I'm aware of the switch/knob but apparently, there's an option in the J Pro Settings tab called "Night backlight enhancement level" - Was chatting with the support on Instagram but they since disappeared when asked if there's an firmware update. Just wondering if different JK years have different OS version.

Just like that stereo, it doesn't add any value to the Jeep and maybe even hurts it. That bootup sound is really cringe and the snow mode imagery makes me want to vomit. It will be interesting how it does after a few years with -40 temps. It's really hard to make a dashboard that doesn't shit the bed with the crazy temps and vibrations it has to endure. Mercedes sprinter vans had big issue with dashboard dyeing from corrosion.
