BEST JORDAN 1 LOW? Air Jordan 1 Low Bred Toe REVIEW!

So, a little info from an OG... As you noted, there are two versions. The OG (like the Starfish, Neutral Grey, Travis Scott x Fragment) which came out in th era the OG Retro Jordan 1 HIgh (1985) and is based on the High. You can tell because it's shape is literally a Retro High with the ankle leather cut off. I has the same (Highest non-collab Nike) quality as the Highs and that is why they are more comfortable, crease better, and just are overall more desirable. They have the Retro High tongue with "NIke" on them rather than the Jumpman, which came years later. Resale prices reflect this. These are a Retro Jordan which was originally released in 2004 when the mid was released. These are a Low-Top version of the Jordan 1 MID... NOT THE HIGH. Because of this, it has the POOR QUALITY LEATHER just like the MIDs and the DESIGN/SHAPE of the MID. You note the Jumpman on the tongue... just like the mid. There is nothing wrong with the Retro Low Jordan 1s... they just are inferior in quality and design to the OG Jordan 1 Lows based on the Retro Highs. These USED to get a lot of hate, as you mention... just like the Mids USED TO (and rightly so... they Quality is always poor on the Mids, the Jumpman padded tongue is not as nice as the Retro High/OG Low tongue) Since the re-popularization of the Jordan 1 (Retro trainers/sneakers became hot in the last 5 years + "The Last Dance" movie + the rise of streetwear as high fashion - thanks Virgil, Ye, Jerry) the prices of the Jordan 1 OG Retro Highs (Nike uses the OG designation on the Jordan 1 Retro model to indicate the classic OG colorways on the Retro High J1).... the prices skyrocketed on the most desirable models (Jordan 1 Retro Highs, Jordan 1 OG Lows, J3-5) the Mids and Retro Lows (this shoe) started to become popular because you could buy them and they basically looked like the ones everyone wanted. The average person just can't get their hands on a Jordan 1 Retro High or OG Low without paying resale. Non-sneaker heads don't want to mess with resale... they want to be able to just buy a shoe. So now the Jordan 1 Mids and the Retro Lows are popular and reselling above resale. This makes the OG sneakerheads clutch their pearls. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MIDS AND THESE RETRO LOWS .. but they are objective inferior in quality and, most would agree, shape and silhouette to the Jordan 1 Retro Highs and the OG Lows. Jordan 1 models discussed: Retro High - silhouette based on the original 1985 shoe which was released in 1993 and is the silhouette we all know as the "Jordan 1 High" OG Retro High - same as above but in the OG colors (based on what Nike puts on the Box) OG Low - the low based on and originally released in1985 (Starfish, Neutral Grey, Travis Scott x Fragment), Same 'Nike" tongue as the high. *Not mentioned Jordan 1 High '85 - based on the original silhouette and last (Jordan 1 Neutral Grey 85) Mid - the mid released in 2004 to bring a lower priced and more fashion forward and lower price/quality Jordan 1 silhouette Retro Low - released after the Mid and based on the mid. Same lower price/quality as the mid. Same Jumpman tongue. Don't worry, I didn't just take the time to type this to "school you". I had this saved... so I just copied and pasted it. Contrary to popular belief, this is a great shoe. The leather may feel inferior to a lot of sneaker heads but they it's actually pretty nice. I noticed the Resale value isn't that high and that's why I won't be selling mine. I rather wear them out. Also, the color 'red' feels a bit different in the video for some reason. It's a lot darker in person so it looks a bit better.

The quality may not be up to OG par, but with the affordable price and dope colorway, you can rock them from work to the gym to dates with your girl without worrying about creases and walking like a duck. Life is short. Wear your Jordans.

Good to know that the quality is not as great. I guess I am just sticking with my 2016 High Breds and perhaps get a High Bred Toe. In my opinion, Bred Toe > Chicago > Bred.

Yeah disappointed in the quality but it's never been a key buying point for me with AJ1 Lows. Nice I continue to beat my Bred highs to the ground! LOL Bred Toes are amazing, the color blocking is just so good!
