I hate that parents try to push their children to have a relationship with an absent parent. Why care more than that parents does? It's the parents job not the child's job.
@iBOXRIVER5 жыл бұрын
J B That only happens when one parent ( the mother ) controls whether the child is available to be collected and cared for by the other parent. The absent parent often doesn’t know the schedule or ins and outs of the child’s life so it’s hard for them to schedule meetings. So they collect the child WHENEVER POSSIBLE. This could be ANYTIME, and it’s not for the controlling parent ( the mother ) to question or criticise how and when this is done. The man has tried with these two. He can only try so much...

Any parent who places the welfare of their child first is going to encourage a relationship with the other parent in hopes of healing any pain caused by the absence & IF there's a chance for the child to have both of their parents in their life, you want that for your child's sake as long as the parent isn't a danger. Nobody wants their child to have to bare emotional scars. Granted some parents are walking wounded themselves but even those in that bracket typically want better for their child. Please note I said parent bcuz there's single parents of both genders dealing with this type of thing. PLENTY of Fathers HAVE had to say "Consider forgiving her for yourself." Or "give her a chance" even if he didn't want to bcuz he loves his child.

@Salma-yo6ns2 жыл бұрын
The real problem is these folks who criticize grew up in a house where they were “seen not heard” 🤷🏾♀️ They cannot relate to Riley and Kandi’s relationship. Kandi has never invalidated Riley’s feelings as a child, and therefore Riley can speak up for herself and set healthy boundaries. These same people who criticize are 2/3x Riley’s age and can’t be straightforward with the people in their lives because their mama robbed them of a voice early on. So anytime they see healthy communication between a child and a mother, they write it off as disrespect. They grown and still can’t be real with they mama because that childhood trauma still holds them bondage. Riley and Kandi’s relationship reminds them that maybe… just maybe, their mama wasn’t present emotionally for them they way she might have been physically (bills, roof over your head, food). Nurturing goes beyond the practical. Nurturing is affirmation.

He has always done Everything for those kids. They literally get anything they want..and he's raised them. Yet my son graduated high school with honors and made honors in his 1st year of college (just started his 2nd yr). They go on vacations once a month, March/April thru Aug/Sept. Cruises a couple times a year and the rest are beach trips, etc. They never even invite him. It's so heartbreaking. He's never spent time w his son...maybe a few times a year, if that.
