"Best Kept Secret In The Heart Of Japan! Unazukionsen Yamanoha Hotel"

We stay two nights at the Unazukionsen Yamanoha Hotel. Its a 3 star hotel very much in the style of a Ryokan.
Its a large hotel of 142 rooms, a five minute walk from Unazukionsen Station. It features a large lounge and bar, public and private japanese baths and a shop.
It's half board, with fabulous buffet style breakfast and dinner included at a cost of AUD $360 per night for two people.
We are upgraded from a Japanese style room to a Western and Japanese style one, with proper beds in a huge well-appointed room. It's a shame we didn't have a view of the Kurobe River and Gorge.
We could have taken the stunning views of the Gorge in by having a public onsen, but they are single sex, so we opted to have a private onsen together, at an additional cost of approx ¥1650 for 50 mins.
Overall a fantastic hotel, great spacious and comfortable rooms with comfortable beds, great buffet style food with a huge choice.
I highly recommend this Hotel/Ryokan.

Yep, going for the onsen. We will also visit another onsen in the area that was recommended to us by one of our friends who is local to Toyama.
