My kids didn't like it either! They unplugged it! They said no they don't like it. I tried with my son and grandbabies none of them like this. I don't know why! Ages 10, 7,5, and 6. I was shocked too!

I bought one for my nephew so he could video chat with myself and his grandmother since they moved far away. So my brother goes to set it up and it won’t set up without an Amazon kids subscription witch sucks cause we don’t want or need that and now it’s useless and a waste of money for me being forced to get Amazon kids is bull

Yes, you can kinda. You won't get movement alerts, but you can drop in and see the camera. Just know that without a stand, the camera will point up towards the ceiling. As for home security, you can add this echo to Amazon Guard (free service) that will notify you if someone breaks into your home.

Great question. No, I didn't. These can be unplugged just like a tv they won't lose anything. I actually unplug my show 5 that's in my master bedroom because it's too bright, then plug it back in when I wake up.

Yes, I believe it will work. You just need to add the Skill Spotify and then link your account.

You will need to go into the parental controls of the Alexa app and then allow Spotify to work with the kids echo.
