Chinese companies are going to make us shoe companies irrelevant in like 5 years. Their tech is way way better

In basketball shoe side yes because here in PH many people wear WOW, LiNing, Anta and 361 now.

@@Meehhehe It's not much more of the brand it's the price. Hell people here ball in replicas because who cares? Salary is so low that affording a Nike shoe would cost them half their salary for a month.
@BYJ13x6 ай бұрын
They're actually using the same technology that they got from the Adidas boost era.. they just implement it better and more consistently. Nike and adidas are busy trying to do the next thing instead of the last thing. We're moving too fast in time and they are standing still making boost better.
@Meehhehe6 ай бұрын
@@josapathlapiz4722 it seems we have 2 different stories. One story is about hoopers wearing chinese products because not just they mad comfy but they're also durable in outdoor usage (fyi most people purchase basketball shoes through resellers because of the discount price like a friend of mine bought WOW All City 12 to a reseller for 60 bucks. The SRP of that is 150 bucks) while another story is about hoopers wearing fake basketball shoes because they can't buy a original pair due to it's price.

"nice curve shape and a lot of forefoot flex".....................................................😏
@raya4725 ай бұрын
As I said before, unlike what people like night wing says, imo squeek has something to do with traction. Let me explain. The squeek is a result of the friction between the outsole and the floor. Think grip and rip. As such if you wear Tim's or old garden boots, they may not squeek because traction in footwear has 3 elements to it... 1. Pressure applied 2. Rubber compound 3. Traction pattern So the squeek is the feedback/ result that the 3 elements are at work. Bonus: I also hear Chris say on his channel that high tips don't prevent sprained ankles but the heel cup does. Again if that was the case, roller blades would have been low tops. The concept of low cuts was an: 1. observation: of people in different places playing "backyard " basketball in whatever they had on at the time, high cut or low cut. 2. Cut cutting: less upper material means less money to produce. 3. Marketing.

Drop in midsoles don’t mean shit nowadays because companies like Lining and Nike don’t sell replacements like they did for the Kobe’s in the past. If anything having your drop in bottom out and then being told tough shit, buy another pair, is even more angering than a regular midsole bottoming out. Only company doing it right is SPO, but unfortunately they don’t have tech as good as BOOM.

Do yo if I can put insoles in these or is it inky drop in midsole Idk how it works
@RC07106 ай бұрын
Comparing those to kobe's should stop. The tech of 808 are way better. Price range is very far. Kobe's are just hyped by his death. Don't get me wrong. Had kobe 5 and 6 before. One of the best shoes i ever used. But resellers and nike made me change my mind 😢😢😢

I know the drop in midsole are replaceable but not many companies will not sell you just the midsole, i had the 808 2 ultras and it had bottom out but way of wade wouldn't sell me just the midsole

Enjoy the content Sammy but I've got a couple of gripes. 1. Stop going half size up, measure your foot please. I've got a few shoes that you went half size up on and I'm true to size, even with a wide foot myself. 2. Stiff strobel boards are pretty much negligible regarding bounce or softness of cushion, especially during landing and pushoff, where forces are essentially double your body weight. 3. "Performance" on your floor at home is meaningless. The conditions and function are not even near being relatable to basketball movements on a court. Hopefully this helps improve your content as I'm not hating but want to see better content!
