I used i3 , 4 GB RAM , HDD Laptop till Machine Learning. For Deep learning I have used the same laptop but I run my code in Google Colab (online platform). Now after one year I am planning to buy i5 as I have to run bigger project. I recommend all student to start study with your existing laptop. Once u start facing problem u can go for Higher configuration laptop as per Video as this configuration cost Rs 70,000 in June 2021.

@@jojven7514 4gb Ram is too low, go for 8gb or if budget allows 16gb. Also you should have dedicated graphics card..not the integrated one. If possible have some SSD compoment in your storage.. for faster retrieval of things, again its totaly subject to your budget. On simple note... look for gaming laptops.. because data science programs or trainings of models need faster processing power. And the best part you can easily do gaming on such machines 😁

A laptop for ML and DL is OK if you intend to do light task on it, but for heavy and hard core neural networks a full fledged desktop is the only go to choice. If you want a laptop which have good build quality and have good battery life then it's price will be very high.

AMD Ryzen 4000 and 5000 series are way more efficient and powerful than Intel. Intel i7 is equal to Ryzen 5 so Ryzen 7 destroys i7.

Speed of the cpu doesn't matter that much it's the amount of cores and threads in it that matter and NVIDIA GPUs are better for Deep learning because it's architecture is widely used, so AMD CPU and a NVIDIA GPU (preferably above GTX 1650) will give you highest performance for your money.

External GPU can be used only if ur laptop has thunderbolt 3 port( full 4 lanes) ....don't worry if u don't have one ...check out Google colab or other cloud platforms for DL and ML

Regarding processor should I go for intel (i7/ i9 --- 11th Generation) or AMD Ryzen processors. 2. Regarding graphics card Nividia which one should I go for....
