Did you measure the piece you cut with a tape measure or the laser ? Curious

That's actually a great question, I used a measuring tape for that piece as it was easy to get the length with a tape measure

Yessir! It's based off the back edge of the device so where you have it press against it'll take that measurement

Thanks for the vid. I will never understand how you guys, in the US, still measure in imperial. First unit 1ft is 12inch so you're dividing by 12, then you have to divide by 8 when you go down another unit. Rather than metric which is just divide by 100s, 10s, 1s, everything easily divides up.
