@@joyrogers9677 The trick with the score around the national average is to remember on easy questions you need to do what they want (which is pick the obvious answers), but when the questions get hard (usually the more complex ones are hard), make certain to find the obvious answer then cross it off. How could a hard, complex problem have an obvious answer? You got this!

@@EngeniusPrep I took it and it wasn’t that hard. The essay section was really easy tbh. My friend who doesn’t even get that good of grades did it like a breeze. Reading section seemed kind of easy as well. Math section (no calculator) was pretty easy ,with calculator section was pretty difficult for me but i think i did pretty good overall tbh. First, good luck! Second, the concepts work on the subject tests as well (they just have different numbers for the score). The subject tests are knowledge based, so gimmick tricks won't work, but pacing, distractors, and looking for wrong answers works great!

The verbal section isn't rule based, so it makes improving so much more challenging. You need to read critically and understand the rules of grammar (grammar is rule based, so that should be a bit easier for you to learn). If you are an 11th grader, I have a great critically reading program. If you are a 12th grader, I'm afraid there isn't much you can do to fix your reading in such a short period of time.

@@pranjalr162 On easier or less complex problems, look for the obvious answer. On harder or more complex problems, look for the obvious answer and cross it off. If nothing else, that improves your odds. Hard problems can't have obvious answers, otherwise it wouldn't be a hard problem.

If you don’t get penalized for wrong answers, why answer more questions when you can just focus on the ones you know, take your time on the ones you don’t, and leave blanks because there’s no penalty.

Yes, this is the correct strategy. But pacing is still important and you must push to answer as many questions as you can correctly. Always leave a minute at the end of each section to bubble in any questions you left blank hoping to pick up an extra question or two correct.
