Hi! I was wondering if this could be done on short hair. Like chin legnth

The cut is beautiful & I hate having to say, "however" but however, after completing the cut stylists 100% need to go in with A LOT of water, I mean soak it like they mean it. Put the product in, (I recommend a gelee for hair texture similar as in the vid). & put a good amount in too & add more water & scrunch. Use a microfiber towel or a t-shirt to scrunch the excess water out & diffuse exactly how shown. I have naturally curly hair & never have left a salon with curly hair; it either ends up like I spent way too much $ to stick my finger in a socket or they want to straighten it. 🙃

I completely agree w you! The few times ive had someone cut my hair, they have no idea how to do naturally curly hair n i looked worse than when i walked in. I cut it myself now. N definitely LOTS of product!!
@MoonChylde0622 Жыл бұрын
VERY wet before diffusing/styling is key. I don't understand why NO stylist I've EVER been to gets that point. You can't just diffuse the 80% dry hair again at the very end and think it's going to look good. It has to be re-wetted and then styled appropriately.

I agree. You can't get a good curl pattern when its just been cut and combed through. I always take my clients ( me too) back to the shampoo bowl and wash and deep condition . Then comes the the procedure you payed out . Don't forget the praying hands to apply the gellee

Cut and shape as always great but why does every single curly video end up with the mannequin looking like it just put it's fingers in a socket? I just want to see defined frizz free curls for ONCE.

The last time someone cut my hair tried to dry scrunch my stretched out 3a curls! She was confused that my curls weren’t coming back & thought I lied to her that I have natural curly hair! I left with my hair looking a bit like this!🤭

Perfect I’ve just trimmed my own hair this way thanks for sharing I was getting in a rut with my hair as I’m growing it and it’s wavy. I’m a hairdresser btw and have always cut my own hair

This is a big poofy ball. It's how most stylists cut curly hair. It's why I hardly ever go get my hair cut.

I'm so agree with you. Natural curly hair is quite a test for most of the hairdresser unfortunately

No literally I’m trying to find a way to maintain the layers in my 2B hair because it’s the only way my waves look good because they grow out with too much length. All I’m finding are these videos and it’s clear that this hairstyle doesn’t last. It’s literally a frizzy mess. No sections. Barely any length difference. All the waves are just gonna fall and straighten up in a day.

As a curly, i like the cut...but the styling is ...um...not good. It seems that when stylists don't have curly hair theirselves, they are clueless to styling it. You need to SOAK that hair in order to make the curls take form again. Especially since you dry brushed the whole head. The curls have to be reset now. And don't use wax...just don't.

I love the cut and the curls how it’s so easy but flattering and sexy. I have naturally curly/wavy hair depending on the area of my head as some parts are just wavy while closer to the scalp it gets curly and other areas barely curl at all. I would love love love to get the video, products …everything I need to make my hair look like this from the perm, cut, product, how she got those big curls, whatever though for the perm she gave the mannequin head as it’s exactly how my hair looks with all my curls actually looking perfect- I’d love to just do this perm as instructed by “The heads” perm specialist, it’s exactly what I want my hair to look like naturally all the time. I would be so grateful! Thank you!

The most important part is how you let your hair dry. Look up curling creams and gels. Also "curly girl method" will give you some answers.

I saw you pulled the last section all too front like you did the first two sections. But what was the guide for the length. And was that last section cut at the same angle as the other side? It was hard to see that lay bit. It looked almost puked out in front at like 95° or something. That seemed like the last intuitive party of the cut so I want to really understand.

I have curly hair and no one will cut my layers right. I get flat top and then poofed sides. Don't they teach this at school?
@rain3743 Жыл бұрын
Not really. Most pro education comes after school. And some states don’t even make them take a practical exam. It can be scary. It’s all about the expanded shape with curls, and products that keep curls juicy. It’s very tough to get defined curls in a mannequin head.

The camera from the areal view doesn't really help. Try to keep your cameras at different angles around you to show your audience so they can see exactly what you're doing. The areal view doesn't show exactly which way your holding it
@cassieopia5323 ай бұрын
Overhead camera angle is not helpful. Why didn't you do round layers all over? Edit: How do you prevent the bottom layers from looking sparse? My opinion only... too much hair was removed from the length.

Yeah this mannequin looks insane. Something about the way it turned out. Just doesn't look good at all. I think on an actual human being this could look great. It's just not looking good with the fake hair
