Great video, many thanks. I started hand making my own leather watch straps a while back, specifically because I have relatively slim wrists and, like you, hate the excess tongue end poking up around the back of my watch. I usually cut mine to 78mm on the buckle side and 108mm on the tongue end. This keeps all the bulk of the buckle, keepers and double thicknesses of strap firmly centred in the middle of the underside of my wrist and really helps balance the watch out. Hate Hadley, Barton is great for silicone straps but not leather, really like Geckota/Watchgecko. I like B&R bands the most, usually $20 more than Geckota but excellent (and they offer short lengths, which I prefer)
