Best LED Headlights for your Jeep Renegade

In these video I switch out my OEM halogen headlight bulbs for some Cougar motor H13 LED bulbs. I will compare the two bulbs and explain why I went with this option. also on how to properly install and align your new LED bulbs. I will leave a link for the same headlight bulbs below.

Just got mine changed! For some reason mine came as the H13 with fans. Not throwing any codes or anything right now, but definitely keeping the original ones in the Renegade just in case I need to switch them out. Great tutorial!

I got freebie LEDs. They don't quite clock right, like 11 and 1. No collar on these so I had to shave a tab to get them at 12:00. Man, like night and day from stock and silver star. I can see so much, a lot farther, all reflective glows and it reaches further.

Hey man, love your channel! I've done a few upgrades to my renegade that you've shown but I gotta ask, why no fans? I don't really know much about it I'm new to whole custom auto thing, I've been restoring an 02 dodge dakota which is coming along great but that's not the point, just wondering how you feel about an LED with a fan vs the 1 you installed in your reney

It's all about preference. I would rather run fanless because they last longer, don't get as hot and they're quieter.

The way it come in the box is the correct way. You want it facing away from the car. Hopefully thats helpful

What are your DRL and what will you be changing out the fog lights with? Do these have a afterburner glow when turning off the car?

The DRL lights are ones I bought off Amazon. I have a whole video on it. Check it out if you get a chance. Fog lights will be my next video. I will be trying some lights from ALLA lighting. And no, no after burn on the headlight but the DRL's have a bit of lingering light glow.

Just bought and installed these this week. They look waaaay better than the original ones. My original headlights had a red gasket and I could not get these installed with the gasket in place. So I removed one and dropped the other one into the abyss (hopefully I'll find it under the car tomorrow).

Hey how long do cheap leds (in the drls spot) glow for mine are glowing 14min 30 secs and 14min 50secs then go off......we just bought it used and this is happening

They glow for roughly fifteen to twenty minutes. but I won't affect your battery

I guess it depends if you want to run lights with fans or not. I wanted to run fanless bulbs but I was going to go with sealight bulbs with fans

100% recommend these headlight bulbs. I have never had an issue with my light and I think the brights work great on them which was the deal breaker for me.

Not at all. They are still perfect. Although last I knew I think they may no longer made these lights for the Renegade but that my have changed.

Yea unfortunately since I've made the video they have changed some things around and upgraded there lights. They still make some for the Renegade, you'll just have to search for them

It looks like they may have stopped production on these lights unfortunately. I don't know that sealight makes some similar lights to these.

Are there still no error messages? Do they overheat? I have a 16 renegade and I just purchased these.

As of today I haven't had any issues with these headlight. No error codes, flickering, overheating, nothing. I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase. Just make sure you adjust them correctly and you'll be golden.

To be honest I wasn't so sure on what to choose. I've never ran headlights with fans before but I wasn't against it. It all came down to finding headlights with good reviews. So I ended up getting these.

After doing some research it looks like it won't fit your 2020. But if you look on Amazon and enter your vehicle information alot of different LED headlights will pop up for you. Luck!

They don't flicker in person. The camera makes it look like it's flickering due to the camera settings.

Does the light warning sign come on or flicker? I read that LEDs needs a CANBUS system.

I can tell you from experience since running these light for the past year that I have not had a signal issue with these LED headlight yet.

That's interesting. When I installed mine I had no problems what so ever. You might have gotten some defective lights unfortunately.

@@AdventureGT I’ll return them. I’m pretty sure I blew a fuse. I have to figure out how to get to the fuse box under my dash because there is no fuse box in my trunk like three manual says.

Yes check your fuses first. Its not to hard to remove the panle under the steering wheel. I believe I show you how to do that on my green under glow dash video. Although once you have access to the fuses its a pain

@@AdventureGT So I spoke to a Jeep mechanic this morning and he said there aren’t any fuses for the headlights and that it’s connected to the BCM. He suggested doing a quick disconnect of the battery for ten mins and scanning for error codes on the BCM 🙃

I think this are the original bulbs, 75000 miles, i also did one side on the running bulbs but it star it to rain, i already did the tag lights, the only thing missing is the fog lamps and fog bulbs, my fog lamps turn black i dont know why, original bulbs are still good but the outside plastic of the lamp is black (weird) any tips on how to take them out??

No one had flashed me there high beams before, for my headlight. And I'd say yes.
