What is your current go to glass and why?

Sigma 18-35 because of good neutral base. Super close minimum focus. Af works a1 on the Komodo-X Would love it goes to 50 though. Plus EF to RF with variable ND adapter. Easy switch from AF to Focus Pulling. Pro mist and Hollywood adapter and it is the perfect allrounder.

Some of my favorites 1) You can get the entire set of 7Artisans Vision S35 T1.05 cine lenses for about $1600 2) The sigma Art lenses paired with the Viltrox focal reducer is incredibly sharp and clean 3) The 1.8RF's are really great. Especially the 35. 4) The Irix CineLenses are an Incredible value and can also be paired with the viltrox focal reducer (I recommend it because it's locking and right around $300) plus the lenses are fully weatherproofed and have a magnetic front for magnetic filters.

Wow! I’ve been wanting to try the 7Artisans and the Irix! I actually have the speedbooster, so it may be time to test some of these things out!

Great video, I want to ask you a question, if I use komodo plus rf-ef 0.71x booster, and use it with DJI's Foucs Pro (ladir), do you have any lens recommendations? It seems that Sigma 18-35 and other non-cine lenses cannot be used with ladir.

how come not many people use the rf to ef Speedbooster I used it once and it has been in my Komodo since, a full-frame Komodo is mindblowing

That’s a great question. I actually have one. Tried to use it on a project (to then make a video about it) but had some focusing issues. Once I get time to dive into troubleshooting , I plan to use it a lot - because there’s nothing quite like a full frame look, on a RED!

@@AnthonyHadleyJrso with that said , what do you think of using the ef canon L glass with speed booster on the Komodo vs the Rf glass that can not be used with speed booster ?

@ I think if you already own the EF glass, it’s a great idea. EF is much easier to adapt anyways. I think RF glass tends to be sharper (which is good or bad depending on taste) but I’ve got a whole set of vintage lenses I’m trying to convert to EF for that exact reason.

The 50-100 has two problems. Good iq and base but : you need to be fare away as the minimum focal distance is over a meter. Plus .. focus breathing that is really more than regular. I wish they would have a lens between the 18-35 and 50-100 from sigma in the art dc row

yes, and one more problems : focusing between 10-12 meters and more is quite hard, because focus travel become so tiny. A commons problem with many lenses. This is not a cinema lens, so ergonomic not ideal, but optical quality is stunning. So...
