I had my 3 on the pine pellets. Our boy was always walking around kicking his back feet as if they hurt. I was finally able to see a tiny bit of bruising but also what looked like black head on the bottom of his webbing. It had to be particles of the wood because it pulled out like tiny splinters and didn’t mush like oils from black heads. We took them off of it and he has never had those problems since.
