BEST LONG LASTING PERFUMES WITHOUT VANILLA | Soki London

THANK YOU for making this video. As a person who loathes vanilla fragrances, it is so frustrating because all the perfume youtubers seem to be obsessed with vanilla. I feel like I can’t take their reviews seriously. I was beginning to think I’m the only person who doesn’t want to smell like desserts. I also dislike patchouli. Needless to say I have a VERY hard time finding fragrances as vanilla and patchouli are in 90%+ of the perfumes on the market. My favorite right now is BR540, I love that it contains neither patchouli nor vanilla and still manages to make a statement. I know patchouli and vanilla are strong and long lasting, which is why everyone uses them. I really respect a perfumer that can still make a show stopping fragrance without relying on those two obnoxious notes. Jo Malone is a great house that doesn’t add vanilla to everything but their quality is not what it used to be. My favorite from them was French Lime Blossom, a masterfully done fragrance that smelled exactly like the real thing. Sadly, it was discontinued which broke my heart.

adzz yes BR 540 does smell sweet: spun sugar, cotton candy scent but not juvenile scent, very sophisticated

I’m thankful that vanilla is my favorite note. It seems like 80% of perfumes these days have vanilla.

Of all the heavier base notes, vanilla is my favorite. I've never smelled something and said, "There's an awful vanilla in there!" I'm much more likely to be offended by musk notes, although I like some of them.

Lol, I feel exactly the opposite. Vanilla dominates like crazy on my skin and gets so sickeningly sweet. When I try a vanilla fragrance, I often can’t smell any of the other notes. I love a musk though. Missing Person is my current fave.

If you can’t beat them join them. I forced myself to get used to vanilla and I find it easier to enjoy in the winter. but my desert island perfumes would florals without vanilla. They just feel classier to me.

I really like vanilla but i can understand that for many people it can get a little bit overwhelming. Very Nice recomendations sophie! Now i really wanna try the Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire , it sounds absolutly stunning

Sophie, thanks a lot for the selection! It's hard for me to find a perfume that doesn't have vanilla notes. On whom I smell it, I feel bad. Several years ago I bought Tiffany and Co. and I still use it, and those that I like are without testers to bought a new one; (. Hi Sophie! I wish you can make a video of perfumes without vanilla and powdery smell. I live in the Philippines and to be honest, it's still like summer here. We don't really have cold weather unless it's raining or storming lol that's why vanilla and powdery scents don't work, only in my opinion. I'm hoping to watch a video recommendation for tropical countries like where I am now. Thanks in advance!🙏❤

@@armieidzon3081 Idk if you can get it in philippines but nykaa moi joie de vivre is said to be a close dupe of light blue and I use that everyday coz it's way cheaper than light blue. And davidoff cool water is also a summery fragrance but I feel like it's way too plain for my taste 😂, nothing seems as good as light blue/joie de vivre. Although I haven't tried these but I have been eyeing some of the fresh fragrances which you might try... Zara apple juice, Jo malone fragrances, Calvin Klein One, Clinique Happy, Elizabeth Arden green tea, Issey miyake, Marks and Spencers

Today I tired 11 perfumes in the shop. Usually it will not take my that long. But when I tried Narciso, immediately without any histation I bought it.. thanks to you. Exactly as you said, a smell that no body will hate. The first few minutes is unexplainable beauty, then the floral sent will last with amber I guess. I have lots of perfumes that has vanilla or sweet notes. This one came as a wonderful change to my collection. Many thanks again😊🌸

Just like you said, the other day my sister bought me the eau de toilette instead of the eua de parfum of Narciso Rodriguez. I still prefer the eau the parfum, the other one doesn't last well on me. Thank you for this review Soki.

I love that my all time favourite Flowerbomb is in here. Not really a fan of too sweet perfumes, especially when the vanilla is a bit too sickly, makes my head spin haha. Ellie Saab also a fave, gonna have to try the narciso one for sure
