Thanks for the great advise. I'm glad I'm not alone on the foundation/brush business, I've given mine to my daughter. I'm always looking for good eye brushes and now I know where to go. I'm turning 50 in two weeks and your advise is always spot on for me. I really appreciate what you do for us crinkly gals. 💋

I picked up the Beauty Junkees eye brushes per your recommendation and I love them! Hard to believe they are so nice for the price. I like the slightly more petite sizes of their crease brushes and blenders, as I feel I have more control. Thanks so much for the code too!

Hi Angie, I love all your videos. I'm so glad I found them. You have such great ideas and great taste. Pink is a great color on you. I don't know if you remember some years ago stylists were showing different color swatches next to a person's face and hair color to show what colors looked best on them and they were named after the seasons. You are a spring and summer, in my opinion. I am too. Pinks look absolutely lovely on you. I think you look good in all you wear though. Keep up all the good work you do for us. Love it. Hugs!

Since I can't get the same brands (I live in Italy) I appreciate the explanation of the shape, fullness, cut and size of the brushes so that I can find something similar. I switched to using a brush(es) for eyeshadow last year - after years of sponge-stick (or whatever that is called applicator) what a difference! It's so much easier to blend and smoke eyeshadows with a brush - looking forward to getting more for blush, bronzer, etc. THANKS ANGIE!!! Ciao, L

Great video Angie, you are really informative and organized! You look gorgeous as usual. That colour is stunning on you. An idea for a future video might be how you organize all of your brushes and make up. I love my IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe flat top buffing brush! The new(er) ELF line of brushes are nice too! I use the small smudge brush to line my eyes with eye shadow and it works really nicely! I just received three sets of brushes (Beauty Junkees and Real Techniques.) Love them! Thought I would since I already love IT's foundation and powder brushes. You're right about the pencil brush being scratchy. Maybe I need to cough up some dough for Mac or Sigma. I bought 3 pencil cups at The Container Store to hold them on my vanity. Glad I subscribe, your reviews are must-see before purchasing anything makeup or skincare related. Thanks again!

I have tried a few of your favorites and they have quickly became my favorites (timeless skincare--especially). A lot of other products mentioned by others on you tube have been epic fails. Your recommendations have been really spot on for me :D Thank you so much for addressing the brush aspect of makeup. My mom, an artist says that the brush really makes all the difference in the artistic world of applying paint. I feel the same is true for make-up brushes and look forward to trying the brushes you mentioned.

Try Morphe brushes. Many youtubers rave about them, but for good reason! The elite and gun metal line are the softest and best quality and they are super affordable. To me, real techniques isn't soft enough. The Morphe brushes are really soft. There's a bunch of youtubers with coupon codes so you can get 10% off. Also, I heard that the Target up and up brushes were also good quality. I'm a fan of synthetic brushes because they are soft, easy to clean, and pick up product better.

Great informative video for anyone unsure of where to start. I love Real Techniques and IT Cosmetics Brushes, and they are really all I use, except for a MAC 217, which I found was nowhere near as good as the IT crease blending brush but I still use it (despite the shedding). I have 3 of the RT setting brushes - use one for undereye, one for highlighter and one as a spare! I also think the RT blending sponge works really well, for me it is easier to use (and to clean) than the Beauty Blender. RT has more angles - better for wrinkles!

Angie, we have so many of the sa me brushes! I'm a huge fan of the Real and IT brushes. I also like Sonja K and ELF. If I want I will treat myself to a Bobbi Brown too. I used to like the Trish McEvoy brushes back when she was at Nordies. I love that you understand what it takes to get product skillfully applied to mature skin -- it's a bit of a moving target. Some days I feel like my eyelids are like a table cloth that's TOO BIG FOR THE TABLE! I'm guessing your snazzy Japanese artisan crafted squirrel brush is a Wayne Goss. I just love him. Feel free to send it to me. ;-) Thank you so much for the hard work you do on your videos and research.

This type of video and info is so hard to find, so thank you! Literally to find a video which isnt by a youtuber pushing a brand they partner with, and is just THE BEST. Lots of stuff is focused on oily skin too or only drugstore options. My skin isnt necessarily mature, but I am wondering if the brushes in the video would work for people like me.. I need a flat foundation and buffer brush for BB & Armani liquid foundation but I know a lot of buffer brushes inherently are rough on skin. Is there a buffer that is the "most gentle"? Also, if dry/sensitive skin - is there an amazing foundation brush that can blend sans buffer. Beautyblenders dont give the same effect. Any price point or alternative application is welcome! Many youtubers ask about this on other pages and never get answers :/ Any comments welcome :)

Great video on brushes. Can you do a video on a one eye shadow color application? I have tiny hooded old eyes and would love to wear a little shadow, but wearing more than one color is bad, it shuts my eyes down terribly! It closes my eyes and it almost looks like I have dark bruised eyes, yuck! I would like to find colors that won't do that and how to correctly apply one color and yes I use Mac's paint pots as a base and still no help. Hope you can give me some ideas. Thanks😊

Do you think natural bristles vs the synthetic ones have a different application method? As in, does one perform better- with liquid foundation let's say- over the other simply because of the bristle. ?? I have both in IT Cosmetics, Shany and Younique. But I don't have multiples for one use, so I can't really make a judgement one way or the other. Great video! Thanks for sharing.
