Really appreciate your ethical approach to duck hunting. I started my 75th year hunting ducks yesterday. I'm 80 now so am not able to go more than 4 times a week now and all we have here are woodies and an occasional mallard but I still enjoy seeing and hearing them as much as I ever have. It's refreshing to know that there is at least one guy who does it right and respects the resource. Keep it up!

I always watch your videos. The way you hunt is the way duck hunting should be. I was born and raised in arkansas. I have hunted them for more than sixty years. Ive seen some unbelievable hunts, and a damn lot of them. Still do today but the quality is going away. Many reasons. The weather, the mass number of hunters that are willing, have the time, the equipment, the time off and the money to watch the internet, get on on x and cover the duck area up. Not to mention, mud motors. I cant blame anyone, if i had had them when i was young, i would have used them also!! I have had many awesome hunts, by myself over the years. Treasure them, and i think you do. You really put out some good content. Thx

@NoslerPartition2 ай бұрын
Yes!!! They have a great close range pattern and in my opinion you really can’t beat them for close range bird hunting. When you get out to range though they are not as good. However they are also extremely light and a dream to shoot, they point and come up great! I have a 20 gauge SBE 3, I’ve heard the 28 gauge version is great too, I’m a sub-gauge guy for life.
@HighPrairieSportsmen2 ай бұрын
Really depends on your hunting style. For close up, decoying setups, it works great. For pass shooting or longer shot scenarios, not so much. I'd also highly recommend using either bismuth or tungsten with it.

I am starting to see more and more Phragmites in your videos as you are hunting. Speaking with experience they absolutely destroyed the Great Salt Lake Marsh Complex in Utah. If I where you and if have the ability I would be getting on treating that to keep it out of your marsh. And if it is public land I would be starting to rally the troops to get public officials ahead of the game.

Yeah, phragmites is becoming more and more of an issue unfortunately. It's an absolute pain to try and control. Doesn't help that some people use it for blind material either.
