I very recently hit 20k VR, and it’s brutal. Things that used to be auto wins for me are now barriers to entry (such as knowing the tech on Wii Rainbow Road), and the Japanese lag is hard to get used to. But it’s honestly a lot more fun than the 10k VR lobbies. Back there my results were mostly top 3 with the occasional bad luck result. Now it’s a fight to even get top half, but I honestly love the challenge now that it’s not a guarantee that I’ll win unless I get Mario Karted. Definitely hoping to see Shortcat at some point

I've been slowly teaching myself how to play MK8 Deluxe 'seriously' after owning the game since its release, lol. But I buckled down, I've been watching your videos and practicing shortcuts. The other day, I FINALLY pulled off the DK Summit shortcut and won my first online race. You are an excellent teacher just by explaining and talking through what you do. Glad you make videos and that you're an awesome resource! I've also now come across my fair share of 'shortcat' racers but my VR is so low, no way it was you, ahaha. Maybe one day!

KZbin shorts feeds are much more random and less selective than the normal video feed, which makes your videos much more likely to pop up there. The best way to get started in youtube is to make videos about something people are likely to search.
