This one is really great even for a mid-winter break; reminds me of being in a greenhouse in winter. The L'Eau Bleu Fraiche is also extremely good and well-suited to hot sultry weather.

AGentlemansJourney - I am on the same page with you, Chad. I'm very big on vegetal scents, but Bleu leans very much towards pine resin and essential oils (ok, not exactly pine resin, but pine-like). There is an arboretum near me in Massachusetts with a greenhouse and an orangerie that I occasionally make it to in winter. Perhaps because you are starved for fresh vegetative scents that time of year, the smells of the greenhouses hit you like a sledgehammer - but a really nice sledgehammer. L'Eau Bleu reminds me of that: Not subtle. But awesome. The Fraiche version is lighter and fresher (duh), but still a knockout for me. One of my favorites for New-Orleans'-in-August-style hot summers. Definitely worth a try, definitely discontinued, and definitely super cheap at discounters. Thanks for your always-interesting videos; like having a knowledgeable friend telling you about his latest finds.

I have seen this one at a cheap shop nearby. I might pop over tomorrow and buy it. I read up about it on fragrantica and the majority say it is VERY woodsy. Might get it now, but not sure if I'll wear it or try to resell later.

This is a type of fragrance that makes you smile every time you smell it. None to find here but Fragrance World has L’eau D’Riviere Edition de Blue, a clone of Issey’s sadly discontinued L’eau Bleue. A very nice clone released by Fragrance World.

My favorite green herbal woodsy fragrance that is comically mislabeled. I made sure to stock up on backups! I enjoy L’Eau Bleue D’Issey on a mild, cloudy, preferably rainy day. 4-5 hours of solid projection off my skin, and up to 13 hours of longevity.

I got the big bottle from Walmart back in 2017” & it was on the clearance table for like $18 so I said why not so I got it. What I experience from this cologne it is masculine but everyone can’t pull this scent off but I did. I’ve actually sprayed this on my polo with only 3 sprays & it last all that day & night no lie. Again it’s not for everyone I’m not into masculine scents but this one I gotta keep for the suit & tie events or something casual.

Not off the top of my head but fragrantica they state that Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Acqua. I remember this fragrance just being really woody and soft spices. I kinda think that Pino Sylvestre somewhat smell like it to a degree because it has a lot of pine and juniper but its a bit classical as it came out in 1955. Sorry for not being much help.

ABSOLUTELY nailed it Chad. Funny thing is, before I was into frags, I also got that licorice vibe from this one. Didn't know that rosemary and cypress could sometimes come off that way. Ultimately though, it smells exactly like an evergreen to me with some orangey sweetness in the base. My personal answer to Encre Noire.

thanks for the video, chad. i'm curious, which batch did you review? doing a bit of research online seems to suggest that it may have been reformulated because some people claim it doesn't last like it used to. those with good performance claim 6-8 hrs or more, while those with poor performance claim 4-5 hrs at best.

Man the did not. I heard it was disc yes, but I find it all the time. It maybe has less bottles produced but it is there. O think that the mid and dry down of this frag is like 95% ADG Profumo.
