Do you prefer to use the TDR Limiter 6 over Ozone as a mastering limiter? Also, what are your thoughts on Kotelnikov ? I'm debating spending the money for the extra features in the Kotelnikov GE because I love the free version, but I could also just buy the rest of the bundle with the Limiter 6 included. Just curious if you feel it's an improvement in any way over Ozone 9's limiter and worth spending for? Thanks 🤘🏻

Gain reduction is max(peak, rms) and there's bias knob the peak crest. Never see other compressors do that so it's unique.

Hi David, thanks again as always for the wealth of knowledge. I'm trimming down my plugin list and want to avoid "fuckarounditis". However, with the mention of some new plugins (or even hearing about a new technique with an owned-but-not-used plugin) I'm interested in tinkering to better understand the tools. Is there a strategy you recommend for learning new plugins or techniques? Also, how do you decide to choose one mastering plugin for another? Thanks!!!

The waves preset isn't a secret. It's Adaptive Multi Electro Mastering. Many people use this, Greg Wells made this preset famous over a decade ago. If you own the C4 there is basically the same preset in there and it also sounds great.

DRMS is an extremely good tool for repairing wide stereo samples oder mono incompatible Reverb-Plugins. It's the only tool I know of that needs a single knob (Field) to move the side signals to the center without loss, and thus preserve the mono sound image.
