XX is older and miliseconds slower now. It is harder for him to execute forehand attack from backhand side. FZD is controlling XX backhand side => typical strategy against penholder with weaker backhand. Footwork is key for penholder. Penholder demands higher stamina due to forehand dependent nature, this is not favorable for longer games. Nonetheless, XX had done his best.
