I bought one of these today from lisle that includes a little trumpet end on a tube you can attach for air leaks as well as the metal rod which I quite like, had to replace the one I bought at hf because the diagraphm was glued together and broke in half. I could fix it but I lost the rod that threads into it and I want one with the threaded diagrahm for future durability

Good advice, and that stethoscope is clearly better. But Princess Auto has the 2-tube kind on sale for $7.49, which I'll pick up because I'm a cheapskate. I think it would be easy to modify with a bit of tubing and a T connector, in case I ever need that.
