I also have a Klim Induction jacket and love it. I wear it in Hot humid Florida weather and I also ride in the country of Taiwan where the weather is worse than Florida. It feels like I am riding bare. I wear shorts under the pants and a T-shirt under the jacket. Great product.

Maybe I haven’t looked hard enough but it seems difficult to find a white mesh jacket. Those dark colors really absorb the heat. And the main point (other than protection) is to keep you cool. I know there’s silver but I’d rather have white.
@RidersDomain6 жыл бұрын
That's a great point. We have the ability to search the mesh jackets by color on the site, and though there's not a completely white option, there's quite a few there that are predominantly white: www.ridersdomain.com/motorcycle-riding-gear/mesh-jackets?color=white Best of luck in your search, let us know if there's any way we can help!

I just got the Klim Induction jacket before I watched this and was amazed at the airflow on a 92 degree day. Even with a backpack on and the back CE armor I could feel cooling on my back. The build quality is first rate, love the blue color and it comes in several other colors

+Old Dirtbiker Came here to say ^THIS^. Love my Klim Induction - +30c plus humidity is common in and around Toronto, and this jacket makes you feel like you're just wearing a t-shirt. Top shelf fit and finish. Pricy, but worth it.

Thank you for a great- well researched and informative- video. I’ll add the Olympia Switchback 2 to the top of the line. It is LOT’S of mesh, Cordura chassis, has an inside-outside rain liner, and, most importantly, it has CE rated elbow, shoulder, and back protection. At $150, it beats almost any other mesh jacket. Paint with their air glide 4 pants.

For crashworthiness, I would only trust the Klim induction is this group. However, there are cheaper alternatives with better or similar protection than the Klim. The Knox Zephyr Pro comes to mind at around $320. And the Knox isn’t cut for fat people.

I would go with the rev'it traction. But I just can't get past the goofy tpu shoulder panels on the outside. It makes you look like you are trying to cosplay some scifi trooper or something. I think the Icon Mesh AF is pretty awesome for the 100+ degrees for 3 or more months we have here.

Ok. So what about summer pants with protection? Revit traction jacket comes with waterproof liner? If they make pants to match, do they come with a liner as well? Can we get a high visability color? Thanks

May I know the weight of the Rev it jacket please? I have a Carlsbad jacket ( didn’t keep me dry or most importantly my documents in its dry pockets. So I’m not even gonna try keeping myself dry. Just gonna have protection & most breathable jacket & a ziplock bag for my passport 👍🏼

I don't get it? If it rains, why not just put on a raincoat over the jacket?
@CorkKNIFE6 жыл бұрын
Maybe because raincoats don't breath? You'd end up as wet from sweat as if you just let the rain hit you.

You can they make rain suits to go over your gear. The one piece I own works great since there are fewer seems for water to get in. Down fall is they are bulky so unless I'm on a cross I may not bring it on a ride.

Honestly, I never understood the concept of a rain jacket liner in a mesh jacket. Seriously, if it's hot enough to wear a mesh jacket, let it freaking rain on me man. Maybe its more for wind protection and protection from the rain hitting you at hwy speeds, for those without windshields on their bikes? I have two friends who have them and never seen them but the liner in one time. Not once. Just say'n.
@anxiousappliance5 жыл бұрын
True sometimes, but rain can be cold even in the summer and then it sucks the heat out of you. If it's a short burst - ride through and feel the refreshment, a long rain - better to stay dry.

It's a very sporty fit, e.g. it's tight in the arms. Too tight for me, unfortunately. Great jacket, but not if you have big arms

All jackets look on you like a blouson.... 😂😂😂… what size do you need? Esp. shoulders and arms never fit snugly...
@fl0sserelli6 жыл бұрын
Nah, they all fit him well except the Klim, which seems a size too large. All of the other jackets look appropriately sized in the shoulders. The sleeves and waist are blousy because he doesn't have the Velcro/pull straps adjusted properly.

Nice review but what about Built techno mesh - equal to those reviewed but much less $$ (always on sale). My favorite 3season jacket for humid southeast. Do restrict caffine intake of video editor next time. Lot of distracting cut aways

LOL i don't think it's the cookies! That jacket looks like it has a weird cut. Looks all ballooned out and baggy around mid section and really tight around chest.
@RidersDomain6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there's certainly more room in the belly. I know Alpinestars was pretty focused on making this a more generally appealing jacket, so didn't go with as form fit a cut as they typically do. Could have probably shaved a little more material off the midsection though, looking back at it. I got to say though, despite its somewhat awkward appearance, it's super comfortable! - Byron

The Icon Contra mark 1 is better than the Icon featured here. The best Mesh jacket in the world is not the Klim, it is Motoport's made to measure jacket. That generic rock music was so irritating.

dainese? revit?
@sukhoi37476 жыл бұрын
Kinda biased review. Rev it traction cost USD299, Rev it back protector cost USD49, total will be USD339...it's just 10 bucks cheaper than KLIM induction USD349 Waterproof liner is not relevant here because you are talking about breathability, protective, lightweight and comfortability for summer.
@CorkKNIFE6 жыл бұрын
"not relevant"? It rains in the summer too. Further it extends the use of a summer jacket into fall via the restricted airflow. I don't see it as "not relevant" at all. Many do consider how flexible and multi-use a piece of riding gear is before making a decision.
